Best Pre-Emergent on the Markete
By Anonymous on 07/09/2013
We've tried other pre-emergent products but this is the ONLY one that treats all the weeds in our area. We're in Arizona (West Valley) and after trying other products we are back to Pin Dee and SWEAR BY IT!! Fantastic product, excellent results, and consistent results.

Awesome product!

I have used this product before and it worked great! I finally found it again here on this site and bought it because of how well it worked before and again amazing! My only complaint about this product is the lid leaks, it did it before and this time also so I suggest if you don't use it up real quick and the bottle is full make sure to put it in another container so it doesn't spill in your truck. No matter how tight you twist it I cannot get it to not leak. I gave it 5 stars because of how the actual product works!

I ordered a liquid pre emergent herbicide from you last week. I am applying with a hose end sprayer that is calculated at an application rate per gallon of water. The pre emergent says the application needs to be at 3.6 ounces per 1000 square feet. What does the setting on the hose end sprayer need to be?

The first thing you need to know when using an herbicide such as Pin Dee 3.0 T&Ois that the exact amount of water you dilute it with is not important. It is only important to make sure you are using the correct amount of product per 1,000 sq ft of lawn. Use too much and you risk damaging your lawn, use too little and you will not get adequate results. You will need to use 1.3 to 1.8 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft depending on your turfgrass. To decide how much water you want to use, you should mark a 1,000 sq ft area, fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area, and that is the amount you will want to mix 1.3 to 1.8 oz of product with for each 1,000 sq ft area that needs to be treated. You will need to make sure treated areas are irrigated with at least 1/2 inch of water (either by rainfall or by sprinkler) following the application

Looking for pre-emergent crabgrass control. I looked at Pendulum, but noted one customer said he only uses the water soluble pendimethalin because it won't leave stains. So, I'm looking for a water soluble pendimethalin product.
