Jeff from Marlin Texss writes

Please tell how much Remedy to mix to 1 gallon of diesel.

I am killing smooth bark mesquite and a few locust trees

Answer:

When using Remedy Ultra Herbicide on mesquites, you would most likely want to use it undiluted. Our recommendation is to cut them back as much as you can, and apply the product undiluted on them where you have cut them. If that is not possible, you can make cuts into the branches and stems with a hack saw and apply the product to those cuts.  Please see the attached article reference from the Texas Natural Resources on mesquites as well. For locust, you could probably use the regular cut stump rate for small volume applications, which is 25-38.4 oz per gallon of water or diesel, being sure to get the outer layers and cambium of the stump. You will still need to remove the strumps and root systems physically after using herbicides to stop regrowth.
