Please note: These are general recommendations. Power requirements may differ based on soil type and project specifications. These are only suggestions – we are not experts in soil composition.

Power Requirements by Diameter

Minimum power requirement for 7” length = 14V cordless drill.
Minimum power requirement for 24” or greater length = 18V – 20V cordless drill.
For mass planting, use an electric drill with a side handle.
Longer length augers tend to benefit from higher voltage power drills.

Not good for rocky soil

Good for planting flower bulbs but not good for installing bait stations in many different soil types and conditions

A Must for Planting Bulbs

Highly recommend a bulb auger for planting bulbs. This auger is very well made. Simplified planting 100 daffodil bulbs. This shipped the same day the order was placed and I received it 2 days later. Couldn't believe how quick the delivery was! Highly recommend this company and the auger!
