Pramitol 25E is a non-selective pre and post-emergent bare-ground herbicide concentrate popular for industrial and commercial applications. Bare Ground means exactly that, wherever Pramitol is applied, nothing will grow for one year or more. Apply before or up to three months after weed emergence. Dilute in water or oil and apply as a foliar application, before construction, or in or under asphalt to control johnson grass, bindweed, wild carrot, and other hard to kill weeds and grasses. Pramitol 25E will not control woody vegetation. Much of the effectiveness of Pramitol is dependent on rainfall to move into the root zone. Poor weed control may result from very dry soil conditions or lack of sufficient rainfall. Use Pramitol only in areas where complete control of vegetation is desired, since this product may affect desirable plants, grasses, or shrubs. Use 5-10 gallons of Pramitol 25E per acre, depending on application: use higher rates in heavier soils, where weed growth is heavy, where rainfall is heavy, and in regions with a long growing season.
Pramitol may also be applied to even ground just before laying asphalt, or it may be mixed with cutback asphalts for weed control in areas being stabilized, such as highway medians, fences, guard rails, and shoulders, or for cracked asphalt surfaces being resurfaced. AThe Pramitol needs to be mixed at the rate of 8 ounces per each gallon of water at the lowest dilution and can be used up to 32 ounces per gallon for harder to kill brush, according to the product label. Time of plant death will depend on how much product is absorbed through the root system, if it is irrigated after application, and if the plant is under any stress to cause it to not absorb the product as quickly. It could be days or weeks before complete death is visible in the weeds you are treating.
QHow close can Pramitol 25E Herbicide be applied to a 60ft residential well?APramitol 25EÂ is not labeled for use around or near water wells. Per the product label, this chemical has properties and characteristics associated with chemicals detected in groundwater. The use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may results in groundwater contamination. Application around a cistern or well may result in contamination of drinking water or groundwater.

QI need to know what the most powerful herbicide you sell is for brush along a fence line.
I need to kill brush and weeds along fence lines on a ranch. I want everything that is big enough to die to be dead quickly and for as long as possible. Basically, I want the strongest, baddest stuff you got.
AOne of the best products we carry for sterilizing the soil would be Pramitol. This will kill any weeds, grasses, or brush along your fence line, and keep any from growing back for up to a year. QI just purchased 1 gal. of Pramitol 25E for our fence line in a horse pasture, my understanding is to use 10oz
per gal. of water is this correct, and how long before the horses can be let back into the field.

QCan I have a raised garden after putting down Pramitol 25E Herbicide?
I have a green house with raised beds also raised beds outside the green house. Can I use pramitol to kill ground under beds?
AThe Pramitol 25E has such a long soil residual that you can't really predict how far it may move so would not be advised to apply around anything desirable nor around edibles.
QHow long does Pramitol 25E Herbicide take to be waterproofAWhen using Pramitol 25E Herbicide, you actually want it to rain. This product will not provide herbicidal action in the treated area unless application is immediately followed by watering the area with at least ¼" of water or application of the product just prior to a rain event sufficient to penetrate to the root system of the target vegetation.

QHow long will Pramitrol 25E last after mixed?
We have a storage facility in South Texas with a lot of concrete drives. We typically carry around a small spray bottle to spot treat when weeds start coming up in the concrete seams.
AYou only want to mix up what you plan to use at a time and not keep it stored in a tank sprayer for more than 24-48 hours max if you want it to carry the same potency. Products like Pramitol 25E, if used correctly should only have to be reapplied every year so if you are finding you are having to treat more frequently in areas you used it in, we would suggest using a little higher ratio per 1000 sq/ft and use a higher water volume over that whole area to ensure it is getting deep enough in the soil to set up an adequate long lasting barrier.Â

QCan Pramitol be used on playgrounds, assuming I can keep kids away for 7+ days?AThere is no restriction on the Pramitol 25E product label regarding playgrounds, it would be used only in areas where complete control of all vegetation is desired.  As long as children are out of the area during application until dry it should be ok to use.

QWhich Product is safe for roses, shrubs?
What product is safer to use in areas where I need to control the growth of weeds in crushed limestone walkways that surround a rose garden and shrubs?
APramitol would not be a good choice to use around desirable plants as it is a soil sterilant and will likely kill any plant near soil that is treated with the product. You can spot treat the weeds with a glyphosate product such as RoundUp QuickPro as long as you careful to avoid spraying the desirable plants. Grass Out Max would be a good choice if you are dealing with grassy weeds and do not want to spot treat because it can be sprayed around flowers and shrubs to get rid of grassy weeds without worry of harming the desirable plants as long as it used as specified on the product label.Was this answer helpful to you?
