    Q
Dose Pramitol 25E work in the winter?
    A

There are no temperature restrictions for Pramitol 25E. However, we do suggest that you use and store it in above freezing temperatures. Once products hit a freezing point, they can break down and become less effective.

    Q
How can I verify that Pramitol 25E has been applied? Is there some simple test I can use?
I am a project engineer who suspects my subcontractor failed to apply Pramitol 25E before paving an asphalt bike path. How can I verify that this product was applied? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    A

I do apologize but we do not carry any product or device to determine if your subcontractor applied the product or not. We recommend that you contact the manufacturer for details regarding this at 281-832-2500.

  • Asked by Sara from Central City, Ia
    11/08/2016
    Q
Would Pramitol 25E work for my needs?
I have a new gravel pad in front of a building (20 ft x 40 ft) and I would like to control the weeds. I was looking at Pramitol. We live on a hillside, so I'm concerned about runoff. We also have two small children (still putting things in their mouths occasionally). What would you recommend?
    A

Pramitol 25E is a total vegetation killer and will eliminate anything growing where you spray it. This will keep anything new from growing in the treated areas for at least 1 year. Caution should be used during application as some leaching in the soil could occur and destroy nearby desirable vegetation and turf. Pramitol is mixed at the rate of 8 ounces per each gallon of water at the lowest dilution, up to 32 ounces per gallon for harder to kill brush. The time it takes for plant death to occur will depend on how much product is absorbed through the root system, whether or not rainfall or irrigation occurs after application, and plant stress. It can take days to weeks before complete death is visible.  Children should be kept out of the treated area during application but can safely return as soon as everything is fully dry.  Please see the product label for complete application directions.

  • Asked by John from Sierra Vista, Az
    10/23/2016
    Q
What is a safe distance from desirable plants to spray Pramitol 25E?
My soil type is clay mixed with caliche. How far away from desirable plants would be safe to spray Pramitol?
    A

When using Pramitol 25E it would depend on the slope of the surface, and the weather conditions you are applying. You want to apply this product in cooler times of the day with less wind. On flat turfgrass areas, you would probably be safe to spray at least 2 feet away. If there is a slope, then you would need to account for possible runoff where there my be desirable plants.

  • Asked by Marion from Bath, North Carolina

    Q
Will Pramitol 25E kill poison ivy?
    A

We would not recommend Pramitol 25E on its own to control poison ivy since Pramitol will not control woody vines or brush. You could add a glyphosate product such as Ranger Pro to control poison ivy. You can also browse our other Poison Ivy Control products here.

    Q
Will Pramitol 25E kill small tree stumps ?
    A

No Pramitol 25E will not control woody vegetation such as small trees, brush, or woody vines. We do carry many products to use for stump treatments, including Fertilome Brush and Stump Killer and Crossbow Herbicide.

  • Asked by Stacy from Vincent, Ohio
    06/04/2016
    Q
Can I mix Pramitol 25E and glyphosate on my round up ready corn and beans after they have come up at 3 weeks of growth?
It will be about 6"-10" in height( the corn and beans) will that hurt my crop?
    A

Unfortunately, Pramitol 25E is not labeled to be used around any edibles. We would recommend a product like Monterey Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder . This would be labeled for use in a vegetable garden and would provide weed control for five months.

    Q
Will Pramitol 25E work for killing unwanted trees that grow on my fence?
I can't get rid of them, I think they are call white stick trees. and need to get rid of brush to.
    A

Pramitol 25E will not control brush, woody vegetation, or trees. You could still apply this in the area for grassy and broadleaf plants, however you would need to use a more appropriate product for the brush such as Crossbow Herbicide.

  • Asked by Robert from Manhattan, Ks
    07/25/2015
    Q
Is Pramitol 25E absorbed into dead or dying plants?
Say 4-6" of mostly grass is dead, either via burn-down herbicide or preliminary foliar activity of Pramitol. Is Pramitol absorbed into dead, dry vegetation and tied up at least until that decays?
    A

Pramitol 25E works as both a post-emergent and a pre-emergent herbicide, so it will both affect existing plants and prevent new plants from growing. If there is a lot of dying vegetation in an area where you want to apply Pramitol, be sure to use plenty of water to carry the active ingredient into the soil. Pramitol will not be absorbed into plants that are already dead or dying from other herbicides. Pramitol will effectively prevent new plant growth for up to 12 months when applied according to the product label. Pramitol will not kill existing woody vegetation. If you have further questions, you may reach our Customer Service at 866-581-7378 M-F 9a-5p EST.

  • Asked by Robert from Manhattan, Ks
    07/25/2015
    Q
How soon must Pramitol 25E be rained or watered in?
Assuming that if it remains on foliage or bare ground too long it will begin to degrade, maybe not? Also, given, say, 2-4" of top growth on soil of average permeability, how much rain or irrigation would be a minimum to incorporate it?
    A

We would recommend to use a high volume of water when applying Pramitol 25E, or to water in within 24 hours. Pramitol is a total vegetation killing product and will eliminate anything growing where you spray it. The Pramitol will keep anything new from growing in the treated areas for up to 1 year. Caution should be used during application as some leaching in the soil could occur and destroy nearby desirable vegetation and turfs. The Pramitol needs to be mixed at the rate of 8 ounces per each gallon of water at the lowest dilution and can be used up to 32 ounces per gallon for harder to kill brush. Time of plant death will depend on how much product is absorbed through the root system, if it is irrigate after application and if the plant is under any stress to cause it to not absorb the product as quickly. It could be days or weeks before complete death is visible in the weeds you are treating. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Please see the product label for complete application directions.

  • Asked by Ken from Iowa Park, Tx
    07/14/2015
    Q
Should I water in the Pramitol 25E after application?
I treated gravel drive with Pramitol (12 oz/gal/500 sqft) and Roundup. Should I water in the Pramitol after 24 hours to deliver it to roots and minimize leaching into lawn the next time it rains?
    A

Yes rainfall or watering in the Pramitol 25E after application is recommended to help push product deeper in the soil, which will increase the effectiveness towards the root system. If you have any other question about Pramitol 25E, we recommend going over the product label

  • Asked by Scott from Camdenton, Mo

    Q
    Weeds in stones under deck
I am looking for a product to prevent weeds from growing under our deck and kill the ones that are there now. The deck is about 10 feet above this area, which is stone and gravel, so sunlight does get there but rain/water doesn't. I use Glyphosate to kill growing stuff but it doesn't prevent new growth. What would you recommend?
    A
Pramitol 25E is a better solution for what you are wanting to accomplist. It is a non-selective, bare ground herbicide. It will kill and eliminate anything growing for at least a year.

  • Asked by Rene from Atlanta, Ga

    Q
Can I mix Pramitol & RoundUp Pro?
Pramitol says to apply before weeds emerge or within 3 months. I have some weeds that have been growing most of the winter & have not died off because the winter hasn't been cold enough. Can I mix Pramitol & RoundUp Pro to kill all existing weeds & prevent new ones?
    A
Yes you can absolutely mix RoundUp and Pramitol to apply at the same time. Keep in mind, Pramitol is not just a pre-emergent but also a post emergent product. Normally customers who do not see burn down or kill of existing weeds, or long term prevention of new ones are due to 1 of two factors. Either not enough water was used intially during application to allow proper absorbtion and penetration into the soil to create a solid barrier, or the application was done after the weeds/grasses you are trying to kill had already begun to go dormant. Even if they havent died out over the winter, they are still in a dormant faze so they are not going to suck up the product or really anything for that matter to be affected by it. Same thing will apply with the RoundUP as well. In order for it to work the weeds must be in an actively growing state with steady soil (not air) temperatures of 65 degrees or higher for at least a week straight.

    Q
I need a porduct that will eliminate weed and grass from a rock coverd yard
something that will kill like round-up and stop germination of seed ( and can be applied with a garden hose sprayer or tank sprayer)
    A
Pramitol 25E is a bareground herbicide that will kill everything that is sprayed. It can prevent regrowth for up to 1 year. Apply before or up to three months after weed emergence. Dilute in water or oil and apply as a foliar application, before construction, or in or under asphalt to control johnson grass, bindweed, wild carrot, and other hard to kill weeds and grasses.

  • Asked by Michael from Flint, Tx

    Q
I need to know what the most powerful herbicide you sell is for brush along a fence line.
I need to kill brush and weeds along fence lines on a ranch. I want everything that is big enough to die to be dead quickly and for as long as possible. Basically, I want the strongest, baddest stuff you got.
    A
One of the best products we carry for sterilizing the soil would be Pramitol. This will kill any weeds, grasses, or brush along your fence line, and keep any from growing back for up to a year. You want to be very careful with your application so as to not have runoff into nearby areas of desirable turf.
