    Q
How long do we need to stay out of the house after professional bug bombing and spraying?
The house is going to be sprayed underneath and all outside and professional bombs are going to be set off inside house.
    A
You should follow the recommendations on the product label of each product that will be used as the precaution times can vary. Most foggers or bombs recommend that you are out of the home for 2-4 hours followed by at least 1/2 hour of venting the home by opening the windows. Most insecticide spray products recommend that you stay out of the treated area until it has had time to dry.

    Q
What kind of clean up do I need to do after fogging my home with the Precor Plus Fogger with IGR?
    A
After setting off the Precor Plus Fogger , you should leave the house for 2 hours and then upon returning, open doors and windows and let the house air out for 1 hour.  The only clean up you need to worry about would be food handling surfaces like your countertops. You should wipe them down with soap and water if you fogged in the kitchen.

    Q
Do we need to turn the gas off before using the Precor Plus Fogger with IGR- 6 oz?
We have a gas furnace, water heater, stove, oven, dryer, etc in our home. So there are lit pilot lights. Do we need to turn the main gas off before using these foggers? I'm don't want to blow up my house.
    A

According to the Precor Plus Fogger product label, you must "TURN OFF ALL IGNITION SOURCES SUCH AS PILOT LIGHTS (SHUT OFF GAS VALVES), OTHER OPEN FLAMES, OR RUNNING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES THAT CYCLE OFF AND ON (i.e., REFRIGERATORS, THERMOSTATS, etc.). Call your gas utility or management company if you need assistance with your pilot lights.

    Q
If I turn off all the circuit breakers in the house, can I then use the Precor fogger?
I have an electric refrigerator, water heater, stove, and oven.
    A

You must turn off any pilot lights and any appliances that cycle on and off in the home before using Precor Plus Fogger with IGR in the needed areas.  You can choose to just turn the breaker off for the whole house as well.

    Q
How long does it take to rid your home of fleas?
We used the Precor Plus fogger four days ago, and we are still seeing some adult fleas. We have been vacuuming 2-3 times a day since. Do we need to bomb again or does it take time for the product to work completely? We have a bad infestation.
    A
It can take a few weeks to get rid of all of the fleas indoors. Foggers work very well to get rid of the adult fleas that are exposed at the time of the treatment, but they will not effect the adult fleas that are hidden away at the time of the treatment. Most infestations require a second treatment and severe infestation may even require a third treatment. Treatments should be applied at two week intervals. Vacuuming is vital to successful flea control but you seem to have that covered. Be sure to dispose of the vacuum contents in a sealed bag away from your home. All pets should be treated with a product that is labeled for flea control. Outdoor areas where pets spend time resting as well as moist shady areas should be treated with a product such as Tengard. Treating the yard will help you avoid re-infesting your home.

    Q
I DO NOT HAVE CARPET BUT CONTINUE TO HAVE FLEAS. I"VE FOGGED 3 times and sprayed my yard 4 days ago /
I've been eating up and still continue to try to do my day to day stuff but continue to get bitten at my ankles. I need to do something quickly but not sure what that may be.
    A

Fogging should not be your only treatment for fleas indoors. When foggers are released they simply go straight up into the air and then straight down onto flat surfaces. Foggers do not penetrate into cracks and crevices where fleas develop. (They do help get rid of active adults that are exposed at the time of the treatment). Thoroughly vacuum every crack, crevice and surface in your home to get rid of flea eggs and larva and also to stimulate the pupa to emerge as adult fleas and contact any product you have put down.  Pay special attention to any area where your pets spend a lot of time. Fleas  usually do not develop out in the middle of bare floors, they develop in cracks, crevices, voids and in furniture and pet beds.  We recommend Ultracide for these areas; Ultracide has an insecticide to eliminate biting adults and an IGR that will disrupt the growth of developing fleas. You must also have pets treated with a residual flea product to help eliminate the adult fleas that never leave the animals coat.

    Q
Will Precor Plus Fogger with IGR also kill ants or roaches?
    A
Precor Plus Fogger is not labeled for anything other than fleas.  This being said, it does contain permethrin which kills most insects on contact, so the unofficial answer is yes, it should kill other pests that may be around when you set the fogger off.  We do sell another fogger called CB PCO Fogger which is labeled for all other insects.

    Q
How long can should I wait to use Precor 2000 Plus after using the Precor Fogger?
If we evacuate the house after using the fogger, do we need to immediatly use P2000P when we return 8 hrs later? I want to use both products effectively. What are the suggested steps when using both? Thank you
    A
You can apply the Precor 2000 right after you are able to re-enter the home after using the Precor Fogger. After using the Precor Fogger, spot treat with Precor 2000  under beds, furniture, or obstructed areas where fogger mist may not penetrate. Be sure to thoroughly vacuum before the application and continue vacuuming daily for the next 14 days. After 14 days it is recommended that you do a second application to get rid of any straggler fleas.

    Q
Does the Precor Plus Fogger penetrate into cracks and crevices of the wood?
    A
No. Foggers, when set off only go straight up into the air and then down onto exposed surfaces. If you need to treat cracks and crevices, you should purchase a crack and crevice aerosol product such as 565 Plus XLO or Cy-Kick aerosol depending on what you are treating for. Both of these products come with a straw attachment for treating directly into cracks and crevices.

  • Asked by Kim from Houston, Tx

    Q
Can I use both Precor Plus Foggers and Precor IGR concentrate simultaneously?
    If so, how?
    A

There would really be no reason to use both the Precor Plus Foggers and the Precor IGR concentrate as the foggers contain the IGR already and will last up to 7 months.  It is important to vacuum every day or at least every other day starting 24 hours after application.  Keep in mind that the foggers will only kill those fleas out in the open at the time you use it.  For best results, we would recommend using an insecticide concentrate like Conquer Insecticide along with the Precor IGR Concentrate and apply every 2 weeks as long as you need to treat.  Conquer will leave a residual that will continue to kill fleas that contact a treated surface.  You may also want to look over our Flea Control Guide for more information and tips on treating this pest an preventing future infestations.

    Q
I have fleas in a room of basement that has a flea problem for 3 years.
The room is not accessible to my cat or my dogs. I have found dead mice after using a fogger. I found and sealed up places that mice got in though. But after using cans of fogger every ten or so days for 2 months there are still fleas. What else can I do?
    A
You need to get in the infested area and clean it thoroughly and vacuum very well just prior to fogging. This will help speed up the the flea elimination process. Next, be sure you are using a fogger with an adulticide and an Insect Growth Regulator such as Precor Plus Fogger for best results. The adulticide will help kill the adult fleas and the IGR will help stop the breeding cycle of the developing fleas. We also recommend that you confirm you are actually dealing with fleas and not springtails. Springtails look an awful lot like fleas but they do not bite and they are drawn to areas with a high level of moisture (such as basements) and they are known to reproduce very quickly.

    Q
    Scorpion Control
Would this type of fogger control Scorpion populations inside a residence?
    A
We recommend you stick with products that are actually labeled for the target pest. Precor Plus is not labeled for scorpion control so we would not recommend you use it for scorpion control. Bug bombs and foggers will only kill those insects that are exposed at the time of the treatment. Since scorpions like to hide it is unlikely any "bomb" or fogger would work well and none of them are labeled for this use. Instead we recommend the products that come in our scorpion control kit: Scorpion Control Kit

    Q
Will Precor Plus Fogger hurt my tv & dvd player, & a canvas portrait I have on my wall?
    A
As long as you are not placing the Precor Plus Fogger directly adjacent to those items the fogger will not harm them as it goes off in the home. You just want to make sure its not shooting out of the can directly onto one of those surfaces, and instead place the can in the middle of the room. If you have any concern you can always cover those with plastic or a sheet to give them extra protection.
