How do I use Precor Plus Fogger?
It is very important to completely read and understand the product label before using this product.
Vacuum thoroughly before fogging. To ensure unobstructed flow of fogger mist, open inside doors and cabinets. Remove or cover exposed food, dishes, utensils, food preparation equipment, and surfaces. Remove pets and birds and remove or cover (and turn off) aquariums. Close outside doors and windows. TURN OFF ALL IGNITION SOURCES SUCH AS PILOT LIGHTS (SHUT OFF GAS VALVES), OTHER OPEN FLAMES, OR RUNNING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES THAT CYCLE OFF AND ON (i.e., REFRIGERATORS, THERMOSTATS, etc.). Call your gas utility or management company if you need assistance with your pilot lights.U
Use 1 container for each 30' X 25' room with an 8' ceiling). DO NOT USE MORE THAN 1 FOGGER PER ROOM. DO NOT USE IN SMALL ENCLOSED SPACES SUCH AS CLOSETS, CABINETS, OR UNDER COUNTERS OR TABLES. DO NOT USE IN A ROOM 5' x 5' OR SMALLER; INSTEAD, ALLOW FOG TO ENTER FROM OTHER ROOMS.
Remove all motor vehicles before fogging garage.
Elevate fogger by placing on stand or table covered by newspaper in center of room to be fogged. Newspapers should be spread on the floor for several feet around area of release.
Before activating, tilt can away from face (container sprays straight up). Press down firmly on edge of actuator tab until it locks into place.
After activating fogger, leave room or house IMMEDIATELY. Keep treated area closed for at least 2 hours, then open all doors and windows and allow treated area to air for 1 hour before returning.
I had a problem with fleas in my home this year, first time ever. It was a nightmare. I kept buying foggers from Home Depot, Pet Supply Stores, nothing would get rid of the fleas. I did some research and read about these foggers with IGR. I tried them in my home and the fleas were eliminated. I could not believe it. Finally I found a miracle fogger. The other foggers did not have IGR in them and it did not work.
Applied this with ultracide and D-Earth and fleas back w/in a week. Treated animals and outside also.
Flea treatments do not work overnight. Over the next couple of weeks you should start to see a reduction in the flea population. We recommend a repeat treatment after 14 days to help get rid of any of the stragglers that may have been missed with the first treatment. Severe infestations may require 3 or 4 treatments in 14 day intervals. If wild animals venture on to your property they can re-infest the treated areas. If you know wild animals frequently visit your property, monthly preventative insecticide treatments should be applied throughout the flea season to prevent infestation. Vacuuming daily will also help speed up the flea elimination. I used this product years ago on a rental and am ordering more today on another. People think you can go bomb house and kill adults and that's all she wrote...WRONG. You have to interrupt the fleas reproductive cycle which takes more than placing a few bombs. I had no luck for a month but once using this product and following instructions to the T I had eradicated fleas in a few weeks. 10's of thousands in a house!!! The larvae will still hatch but will be sterile after coming in contact with product. It's important ot vacuum first and come back later and do same. Vibration and Heat make the larvae hatch out into adult form, Hopefully sterile now. You can go buy all the grocery store stuff you want and it will keep killing the adults but they will lay eggs that aren't affected by that pesticide faster than you can bomb. Make sure you treat the source also (pets). Do the steps. don't expect overnight results for extreme infestations. Good luck!
I found this product to be very effective when used consistently. It will not work as well with just one treatment (as stated on the directions). I used it in addition to the yard treatment and spot treatment. It is a lot initially but did the job well and worth the time investment. In the south there is no "fleas season" as it is a year long problem. I have an English Mastiff and an Akita so the struggle is real! This product worked great!
What fogger can I use in a Small Crawl Space for Fleas?
I have a small crawl space where I have a flea infestation, and I'm wondering what is the best product (fogger) to use for it. It is probably only 120 sf of floor space, and with a 3' height it probably has a total of 360 cubic feet. What's the best product to use for this? Thanks.
We recommend to use Precor Plus Fogger to treat the crawlspace for fleas. The Permethrin in Precor Plus Fogger immediately kills adult fleas, while Precor IGR prevents pre-adult fleas from creating new infestations of breeding, biting adults.
How do I clean my home after using the Precor Plus Fogger with IGR?
It is a studio apt, so it was set off near my bed with clothes in the drawers underneath. Do I need to wash everything? I closed the door to the bathroom which also has 2 closet with clothes. Do I have to wash those also? Thank you.
If you treated with Precor Plus Foggers in a carpeted area, you want to leave that there so that it provides the residual effect for the two weeks. If a hardwood surface was done, it is safe to mop the area up after the product has had time to dry. Per the manufacturer, you do not have to wash the clothes that were exposed unless you are concerned about them.
