How do I use Precor Plus Fogger?
It is very important to completely read and understand the product label before using this product.
Vacuum thoroughly before fogging. To ensure unobstructed flow of fogger mist, open inside doors and cabinets. Remove or cover exposed food, dishes, utensils, food preparation equipment, and surfaces. Remove pets and birds and remove or cover (and turn off) aquariums. Close outside doors and windows. TURN OFF ALL IGNITION SOURCES SUCH AS PILOT LIGHTS (SHUT OFF GAS VALVES), OTHER OPEN FLAMES, OR RUNNING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES THAT CYCLE OFF AND ON (i.e., REFRIGERATORS, THERMOSTATS, etc.). Call your gas utility or management company if you need assistance with your pilot lights.U
Use 1 container for each 30' X 25' room with an 8' ceiling). DO NOT USE MORE THAN 1 FOGGER PER ROOM. DO NOT USE IN SMALL ENCLOSED SPACES SUCH AS CLOSETS, CABINETS, OR UNDER COUNTERS OR TABLES. DO NOT USE IN A ROOM 5' x 5' OR SMALLER; INSTEAD, ALLOW FOG TO ENTER FROM OTHER ROOMS.
Remove all motor vehicles before fogging garage.
Elevate fogger by placing on stand or table covered by newspaper in center of room to be fogged. Newspapers should be spread on the floor for several feet around area of release.
Before activating, tilt can away from face (container sprays straight up). Press down firmly on edge of actuator tab until it locks into place.
After activating fogger, leave room or house IMMEDIATELY. Keep treated area closed for at least 2 hours, then open all doors and windows and allow treated area to air for 1 hour before returning.
Applied this with ultracide and D-Earth and fleas back w/in a week. Treated animals and outside also.
Flea treatments do not work overnight. Over the next couple of weeks you should start to see a reduction in the flea population. We recommend a repeat treatment after 14 days to help get rid of any of the stragglers that may have been missed with the first treatment. Severe infestations may require 3 or 4 treatments in 14 day intervals. If wild animals venture on to your property they can re-infest the treated areas. If you know wild animals frequently visit your property, monthly preventative insecticide treatments should be applied throughout the flea season to prevent infestation. Vacuuming daily will also help speed up the flea elimination. I had a problem with fleas in my home this year, first time ever. It was a nightmare. I kept buying foggers from Home Depot, Pet Supply Stores, nothing would get rid of the fleas. I did some research and read about these foggers with IGR. I tried them in my home and the fleas were eliminated. I could not believe it. Finally I found a miracle fogger. The other foggers did not have IGR in them and it did not work.
I found this product to be very effective when used consistently. It will not work as well with just one treatment (as stated on the directions). I used it in addition to the yard treatment and spot treatment. It is a lot initially but did the job well and worth the time investment. In the south there is no "fleas season" as it is a year long problem. I have an English Mastiff and an Akita so the struggle is real! This product worked great!
Which one is best CB PCO Total Release Fogger or Precor plus fogger with igr?
The answer to that is entirely dependent on the pest you are treating for. Precor fogger with IGR is specifically for fleas so if that is what you are treating for then it would be the preferred fogger over the CB PCO Fogger. That being said, if you are treating for fleas indoors, foggers are not the best way to go as they give you ZERO continuous contol and will only kill what they come directly into contact with. It would be much better to use the Precor 2000 Plus spray with IGR as this leaves behind a residual that is safe to us, children and pets once dry but will continue to kill and prevent fleas for months. Typically 2 applications are needed 14 days apart and daily or every other day vacuuming to suck up any dead fleas and flea feces. If you are not treating for fleas, whether the CB PCO fogger will work for your needs is going to need more information from you on what pest you are looking to eliminate.
How do I clean my home after using the Precor Plus Fogger with IGR?
It is a studio apt, so it was set off near my bed with clothes in the drawers underneath. Do I need to wash everything? I closed the door to the bathroom which also has 2 closet with clothes. Do I have to wash those also? Thank you.
If you treated with Precor Plus Foggers in a carpeted area, you want to leave that there so that it provides the residual effect for the two weeks. If a hardwood surface was done, it is safe to mop the area up after the product has had time to dry. Per the manufacturer, you do not have to wash the clothes that were exposed unless you are concerned about them.
