I started having carpenter ants in my foyer about 6 years ago. At first there were only a few, but the number increased as the years went by. For the first few years I tried to control them with the Terro traps, but they really didn't help too much. Last year the ants got pretty bad, but by the time I ordered the Premise it was fall, and the ant problem subsided. This spring the problem came back with a vengence - we were killing 30 or 40 ants a day in the foyer. I finally determined where they were entering and leaving - it was in a corner of the closet that flanks my front door. I cleared out the closet and drilled a pencil sized hole just above the baseboard molding nearest to where I saw the ants coming and going. I also attached a thin hose to the nozzle that comes with the Premise so I could get the foam deeper into the stud pocket. I am not sure if that step was necessary. Then I gave a 10 to 15 second blast of Premise into the stud pocket. A few minutes later a handful of ants crawled out of the closet, but looked like they were drunk. They tried to walk up the baseboard molding, but fell on the floor once they got about 3” up. Impatient as I am, I drilled another hole in the next stud pocket, and gave another blast of Premise. Over the next 20 minutes I saw a handful more ants come staggering out, and then NOTHING!!! I have no idea where all the other ants went, but they must have either gone outside to die, or died in the stud pocket. Two days later an enormous ant came crawling across the kitchen floor - an ant bigger than any that I have even seen - it looked like it could bite my arm off. It was probably about an inch long, and must have been the queen. It was struggling to crawl, so I just stepped on it. A hour later I saw a second large ant, and I stepped on that one too. For good luck, I sprayed another product called Taurus SC outside on the 2 feet of exposed foundation around the house, as well as on the 18” of crushed stone I have around the foundation. There are other brands of the Taurus product, but the Taurus was the cheapest I found. It has now been 6 months since I treated the house, and have not seen a single ant in the house since. I am positive that I got the nest last spring. I believe the Premise remains active for several years, so I feel protected. All I can say is thank you, and that this stuff is absolutely AMAZING.

I have only HEARD good things about this foam. I bought it because I was looking for a replacement foam since I threw out a lot of old stuff and I never really had a good termiticide foam before. A Stucco repair contractor told me about this though and he swore by it and said that it was excellent in wiping out termites and you do not need a lot. I really hope he was right. I have yet to use this, but when I need it, now I have a can.

Shipped fast. I used this in the walls and tunnels. Crazy to spray in one hole and have form pop out another. The only problem I had was foam also coming out the button on top of the can.. I put a rag over the button to sop up the foam from the cap as I sprayed out the tube and into the wall. A bit messy but if it works, I can deal with a less than ideal trigger button.

Had termites droppings looked for tiny hole in ceiling, drilled holes with small drill bit around area. Used small injection device supplied with product. Sprayed in premise . Droppings still came down for 2 more days than completely stopped! Amazing must have killed entire colony. Used product 3 years ago had same problem in different area first time had problem since. Great product!
