Effective And Cost Effective

Used for treating dollar spot and Zoysia spot on an Empire Zoysia lawn in central Florida. The product proved to be effective when used as directed on the label. Two thorough treatments 14 days apart. I had previously used Propiconazole 14.3, which also worked, and found it to be a little more difficult to use in a hose sprayer(not recommended by the label) due to its honey like consistency. But PPZ 41.8 is more watery and mixes easily. The higher concentration also suites my needs for quantity as a one gallon bottle offers more than one treatment for my one acre of turf. Alternated treatments with Armada 50 WDG which is more difficult to mix as it needs a continually agitating tank for spraying this wettable powder. I feel that PPZ 41.8% can be used by the DIYer(wear safety gear strong concentration), but Armada is not suitable for typical homeowner use.

Directions say .73 ounces per 1,000 square feet and to mix with at least 10 gallons of water and can be applied with tank sprayer. I would like to dilute this concentrate 10:1 with water first, then apply it using a Hudson Model 60000 hose end sprayer where it automatically mixes what you put in the bottle with water while spraying. That sprayer wants to know how much chemical per gallon of dispensed water. Any idea how to set the sprayer for this product? My hose dispenses about 3 GPM when using this sprayer. I have about 20,000 square feet to treat, thus I should use about 15 ounces of concentrate for the entire lawn and 150 gallons of water which would be way too many hand sprayer tank refills. My hose end sprayer would dispense for 50 minutes to expel 150 gallons which should roughly be the time it would take to cover 20,000 feet so perhaps I should dispense at the rate of .1 oz per gallon or pre-dilute 10:1 and then dispense with hose end sprayer at rate of 1 0Z / gallon? Thoughts? Suggestions?
Prime Source PPZ 41.8 Fungicide would not be recommended to use in a hose end sprayer as the rate is not set per gallon but is per area. Water is just the carrier so you use the labeled rate in however much water it takes you to cover the 1000 sqft. Since we do not carry that model hose end we are unfamiliar with it or how to set it and cannot advise on it. You can try reaching out to the manufacturer of your equipment or Prime Source who can be reached at 877-235-0043.

You could potentially use a surfactant that is labeled for use with fungicides, such as Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker with the Prime Source PPZ 41.8 Select Fungicide. However, it is not required to use a surfactant with this fungicide. The product should have time to dry completely before rainfall, although we recommend applying fungicides when you are not expecting rainfall for at least 24 hours for best results.
