Per the Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) product label: To reduce the potential to injure overseeded turf, wait 60 days after seeding or until after the second mowing, whichever is longer, before applying Prodiamine 65WDG. So enough time has passed for you to use though we will say that Prodiamine is not labeled to prevent Japanese Stiltgrass and there is no pre-emergent that we are aware that will.
Prodiamine 65 WDG is manufactured by Quali-Pro, which is located in Texas.
According to the manufacturer, St. Augustine can be plugged 90 days after the application of Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade).
One 5 lb. jug of Prodiamine 65 WDG will treat up to 5 acres depending on the rate used.
If you were spot treating on your St. Augustine with Atrazine as a post-emergent herbicide, then it should be fine to apply the Prodiamine anytime after that application. If, however, you were applying the Atrazine as a blanket application as a pre-emergent, then you would not need to use another pre-emergent right away.
Since the rate of 0.55 oz per 1000 sq ft is equal to the rate of 1.5 lbs per Acre for Prodiamine 65 WDG, then yes, we do recommend that you wait the labeled interval before reseeding. Unfortunately, there is not an easy way to know how much soil residue would be left of the product, and we would not want you to waste your seed.
You can typically apply a pre emergent such as Prodiamine 65 WDG the same day or the following day as a fertilizer application as long as they do not have competing use instructions regarding watering in after treatment and they do not contain the same active ingredient as a pree-emergent.
No, Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is not labeled to control moss. Please take a moment to review our How to Get Rid of Moss Guide for more information and helpful tips.
Ideally, Prodiamine 65 WDG should be watered in within 7 days of application. You should reapply if it has been longer than one week. Be sure that you do not exceed the annual maximum amount of product for your type of turfgrass.

On Bermudagrass you can use up to 2.3 lbs of Prodiamine 65 WDG per acre per year, which breaks down to 0.83 oz per 1000 sq ft. You can split up this amount into as many applications as needed. So if you are doing applications in Spring and in Fall, then your maximum rate at those times is 1.15 lbs/A (0.415 oz/1000 sq ft).
For Poa Annua (annual bluegrass) prevention: Applications in late summer or early fall before just before soil temperatures reach 70 degrees.
For Crabgrass prevention: Applications in late Winter/early Spring before soil temperatures reach 55 degrees to prevent crabgrass. In a warm place like Texas, you will probably want one application in late Feb or March and then a second application 6-8 weeks later. If you are doing this, then you would lower that Spring rate to 0.2 oz per 1000 sq ft.

Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) cannot be used anywhere that you plan to plant edibles. We do carry the Hi-Yield Herbicide Granules or Monterey Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder that can be used around the listed vegetables on their respective product labels. Prowl is another option for larger areas.
How long Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) will last will depend upon the rate of product used per area which depends on your turfgrass type and program you want to follow. It can last between 3-8 months. Please refer to the product label for complete information.
Since Prodiamine 65 WDG is not labeled for use where animals graze or around animal facilities, we would not recommend using this product on feed hay. We would recommend waiting at least one year before allowing animals to graze in areas treated with this product. You may consider Prowl H2O Herbicide as a pre-emergent for foxtail in established pastures.
Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is safe for dog as long as it is used as directed. Dogs do need to be kept out of the area while the product is being applied, but can be allowed to re-enter the area once the product is dry (usually within a few hours).
While the Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) and Triplet SF should have no tank mixing compatibility issues (you should do a jar mix test first to be sure) you would normally not apply these products at the same time. Prodiamine needs to be watered in after application as you are trying to get the ingredient to the soil and create a wall-like barrier to prevent weed seeds from emerging. With a post emergent like Triple SF, you do not want rain or irrigation for at least 24 hours after an application, and you use less water volume during a post emergent treatment than you would a pre emergent application, as you do not want it to wash from the leaf surface but rather stay on the plant where you applied it to be asborbed. To not over stress the lawn it is often advised to wait 2-3 days or up to a week between treatments.
Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is not a granular insecticide and must be mixed wiith water and applied using a handpump or backpack sprayer using a sufficient amount of water to evenly and thoroughly distribute the recommended mix rate per the product label per 1000 sq ft area. Once the application has dried, it is safe for pets to re enter the treated area. Pre-emergents need to be applied when soil temps reach 55 to 65 degrees. For the most accurate timing of when to apply pre-emegents in your area, view our Lawn Care Schedule or contact your Cooperative Extension Office for their recommendations.

Prodiamine 65 WDG is only a pre-emergent product and will only stop seeds from germinating, it does not have any post emergent abilities to kill actively growing weeds.
When Prodiamine 65WDG is applied as split application, it provides pre emergent control against listed weed for a longer period of time control as opposed to a single application. Fall pre emergent applications should be applied when soil temperatures get to 70 degrees and continue to drop. Spring pre emergent applications and especially for crabgrass control should be made when soil temps reach right around 50-55 degrees.
The application rate for Prodiamine 65 WDG depend on the type of turfgrass you have. Please refer to the Rate Chart on page 9 of the product label for the recommended rate for your lawn.
Water is only acting as the carrier to distribute the active ingredient and the water volume can vary with each persons application and their specific lawn. It is important to know the water volume you need to cover 1000 sq ft for effective results with herbicides. To decide how much water you want to use, mark off a 1,000 sq ft area (50ft x 20 ft), fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area (1 gallon, 1.5 or 2 gallons of water). This is the amount of water you will mix the labeled rate per 1000 sq ft for your turfgrass.View our How to Calibrate Your Sprayer HERE for a more detailed explanation.
