PRODIAMINE 65 WDG (Generic Barricade)
By Brandon on 03/18/2020
Ordered this Herbicide based on my next door neighbors suggestion. I mixed three cap fulls of the Prodiamine with .4 ounces of Fahrenheit into a 4 gallon sprayer, not certain if this amount in 4 gallons was appropriate but is what I got from the directions for use. After two weeks the broad-leaf weeds and a variety of other weeds did not die as I thought they would. The neighbors yard is weed free after application. Please advise if I should do something different. Thanks

Plastic Jug (not a bag)
By Dillon on 02/06/2019
Do My Own sent me the jug of QualiPro Prodiamine 65 WDG like the picture shows (except the label is now lime green). Ordered this on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3, 2019. It shipped on Monday. Just received it on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Fast shipping! This was my first time ordering from Do My Own, but it won't be the last!

do not buy, too complicated
By Bob on 03/15/2022
I love "do my own" company. and when they recommend something, 99.99% of the time you can take to the bank. this product is too hard to use and if you mix it to strong, it will kill your grass. two teaspoons per 1000 sq feet. or 0.185-0.55 oz per 1,000 sq ft. the amount of water does not matter. question for everyone??? who is going to mark a 33 x 33 area or a 10 x 100 area, spray that small area, mix up and do it again and again and again. its expensive and too hard to use.
Expert response:
Herbicides are a lot different than other chemical concentrates as the rates you use are not based per gallon of water but per area as water is just the carrier and will vary from person to person due to equipment used and walking speed. The rate used depends on the type of turfgrass you have as well as the program you are following (single application or split) We do recommend calibrating your sprayer if you do not know how much water it takes you to cover the target area to ensure correct application.
You would calibrate by determining the volume of water required to treat 1,000 square feet. Use this calibration volume to determine the amount of water and Prodiamine 65 WDG herbicide needed to treat the target area (see the following calibration example).
Note: Sprayer calibration (volume of spray needed to treat 1,000 square feet) will vary with each individual operator.
Steps in Calibration:
1. Mark an area of 1,000 square feet (i.e. 20 by 50 feet or 25 by 40 feet).
2. Place the sprayer on a level surface and add water noting the final level of water in the spray tank.
3. Spray the marked area with a sufficient volume of water to provide uniform coverage. Refill the sprayer to the same level as before measuring the amount of water added. The measured water added to the sprayer is the volume needed to cover 1,000 square feet.
4. Determine the application rate (fl. oz./1,000 sq. ft.) for Prodiamine 65 WDG from the Recommendations section of this label.
5. To each volume of water used as measured in step 3, add the amount of Prodiamine 65 WDG as determined in step 4.
Example: If the sprayer uses 2 gallons of water to cover 1,000 square feet and the desired application rate of Prodiamine 65 WDG is 0.185 - 0.055 oz/1,000 square feet, then you would add 0.185 - 0.055 oz of Prodiamine 65 WDG to every 2 gallons of water to be used."

Prodiamine 65
By Ray on 03/06/2020
Your caution regarding the Prodiamine 65 granulates possibly clogging our tank spreader was right on. We were able to clean the pump, but it was a lot of effort. We are hoping this chemical will reduce the amount of crabgrass so it may be worth it. In the future, we plan to use only liquids in the tank. The delivery of the chemical was excellent, taking only a couple of days. Thanks for your guidance.

Effective and economical
By Rick on 09/29/2017
I used this for the first time last Spring and was pleasantly surprised to have very few weeds for the entire season on all of the problem lawns I maintain. It's now almost October and I have seen very little Crabgrass,Spurge or Oxalis. I also like that it doesn't have obnoxious fumes while spraying as my 2nd favorite preemergent does.

Prodiamine
By Troy on 03/27/2020
Got quick, and product is great!! Weigh it out on a scale being it is a dry mixture. For a hand pump sprayer , I used 80 Grains weight for one gallon of water @ 1,000 square feet of grass , grass type is Tall Fescue And Blue Grass . Should provide about 2 months of control , A split type app. Reapply again after 2 months (Apply before rain, so it washes into the soil .) Plan you over seeding according to the app At the end of the protection of after the 2 months scheduled ... Measuring out in tiny bags for easy use of and label ???????? Best regards, Troy.

Great product !
By Jose on 04/11/2019
I came across this product on a Youtube page when doing a search for ridding my lawn of some nasty v-shaped tiny stickers. These things I believe we tracked into our yard from a local park, as we'd see them under our shoes. At first it was a small patch, which within weeks pretty much took over our yards. These were aggravating as they are small and stuck in our carpet and tracked inside under our shoes. I purchased this Prodiamine 65 WDG and sprayed as directed, and within a few weeks I noticed no new weed patched forming. The existing adult weeds, I treated with a store bought weed killer, and managed to clear my yard from this infestation. I've continued using this and have yet to see a return from this pest.

I bought this for a fall pre-emergent of crab grass & winter weeds. It is important to get it down relating to ground temperature & just before a rain to make sure it gets into the soil. You can not believe how fast this company shipped my order to me. So I was able to meet these requirements & I will be doing business with these people in the future.

A must for serious yards
By Quinn on 04/08/2022
Using a pre emergent is the first step in the spring to a great lawn and I consider it a must. I like to do a split app but I have had success using one application as well. Just has to be done. Remember if you don't get this product down before crabgrass germinates it's completely useless on those plants.

I have used simazine for a few years and was pleased to find that Prodiamine treated Johnson Grass, Rescue Grass, Yellow Woodsorrel and Spotted Spurge, which are not shown as treated on the simazine label. A month ago I applied Prodiamine and now my lawn looks very weed free of new growth (especially when compared to my neighbors who have lawns in increasingly green bloom).

Service, Price, and Product Quality
By Jeff on 03/26/2021
The price of all the products are very competitive. I received my order in two days. Every time I order from here, I’m very pleased. Being someone that operates multiple golf courses, it’s great to have a site where I can get fertilizers and chemicals to maintain my lawn like a course.
Great service!
