Product Overview

Monterey Grass Getter Twin Pack includes one bottle of Monterey Grass Getter (formerly Poast) and one bottle of Monterey Herbicide Helper (Oil Concentrate).

Monterey Grass Getter (formerly Poast) is a post-emergence grass herbicide. Monterey Grass Getter (formerly Poast) is for homeowner use on and around: Flowers, Evergreens, Ornamental Groundcovers, Bedding Plants, Shrubs, Trees, Fruits, Vegetables (See Crop Table on label for specific crops). Monterey Grass Getter (formerly Poast) is a systemic selective herbicide kills weedy grasses without injuring desirable plants. Monterey Grass Getter (formerly Poast) controls: Bermudagrass, crabgrass, foxtails, quackgrass and many other weedy grasses. Use with surfactant such as Herbicide Helper.

Monterey Herbicide Helper (Oil Concentrate) is a herbicide spreader and penetrant. Monterey Herbicide Helper (Oil Concentrate) improves wetting of foliage and results in faster weed kill. Use Monterey Herbicide Helper (Oil Concentrate) safely with most nonselective and selective herbicides such as Grass Getter. Monterey Herbicide Helper (Oil Concentrate) is widely used in herbicidal sprays.

Details

Monterey Grass Getter (formerly Poast):

WHEN TO APPLY: Apply any time grassy weeds are actively growing, not exceeding the minimum of days from application to harvest when used on vegetables and fruits. Warm sunny weather will accelerate systemic movement from leaves and stems down to the roots to give complete kill. Do not mow or cut off tops of weeds before spraying. Do not apply if rainfall is expected within one hour following application. Growth of treated grasses stops soon after application. They turn yellow and die within one to three weeks depending on the grass species, stage of growth and weather conditions. Cool weather, drought and heat stress slows activity.

Monterey Herbicide Helper (Oil Concentrate):

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Recommended rate of Monterey Herbicide Helper (Oil Concentrate): 2 Tbsp (1 fl. oz.) in 3 to 5 gallons of mixed spray. Add Monterey Herbicide Helper (Oil Concentrate) to mixed spray solution and agitate thoroughly. Recommend frequent shaking of sprayer while spraying. AVOID use with selective herbicides when selectivity depends on not wetting the primary target.

NOT FOR AQUATIC USE IN WASHINGTON

Best grass killer ever period! No better product around flowers. A great Monsanto product. Been around a long time. Don't waste your time trying others.

Q
Will Grass Getter from Monterey kill Oxalis without harming Dymondia?

We recently planted a whole side yard with Dymondia, and a month later it is infested with Oxalis, growing through and choking out the Dymondia. Will this product work? Is there another product? Thank you.

A
The Monterey Grass Getter is only designed to kill grasses without harming ornamentals and ground covers so this product would not work for your needs. There is actually not a way to remove the oxalis from your dymondia without either harming both, or killing neither. The only way to control the oxalis is to either hand pick it out or spot spray with a round up type product like GlyPhoSel Pro and then replant more Dymondia in these spots to try and smother out the oxalis from being able to come back. We apologize that we couldn't provide you with a better solution. Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
