Product Overview

Liberty 280 SL Herbicide is specially formulated to control LibertyLink crops. Contains Glufosinate-ammonium as its active ingredient which provides protection to plants while being gentle to its roots. It offers crop safety, particularly on erosion-prone areas. The Liberty 280 SL Herbicide is used as a burndown treatment before the development of crops such as corn, cotton, canola, soybean, and sugarbeet. It targets dandelion, carpetweed, chickweed, bedstraw, bermudagrass, alfalfa, cocklebur, crabgrass, bluegrass, foxtail, goosegrass, and horsenettle. For best results, it must be applied evenly during warm temperatures and high humidity. APPLICATION AND MIXING PROCEDURES

Uniform, thorough spray coverage is important to achieve consistent weed control with LIBERTY 280 SL HERBICIDE.

GROUND APPLICATION

  • Apply early when weeds are small with directed rates as identified in the Rate Tables for each crop.
  • Use nozzles and pressure that generate a MEDIUM to COARSE size spray droplet. NOTE: Weed control with very coarse, extremely coarse or ultra-coarse nozzles will not provide adequate coverage and will cause unsatisfactory weed control.
  • Apply LIBERTY 280 SL HERBICIDE in a minimum of 15 gallons of water per acre. Increase to 20 gallons of water per acre if dense weed canopy exists.
  • Apply at a ground speed of less than 15 mph to attain adequate coverage.
  • Apply when wind speeds are between 2 mph and 10 mph. DO NOT apply when winds are gusty, or when conditions will favor movement of spray particles of the desired spray target. See the Spray Drift Management section of this label for additional information on the proper application of LIBERTY 280 SL HERBICIDE.

AERIAL APPLICATION

  • Apply early when weeds are small with directed rates as identified in the Rate Tables.
  • Use nozzles and pressure that generate a MEDIUM to COARSE size spray droplet. NOTE: Weed control with very coarse, extremely coarse or ultra-coarse nozzles will not provide adequate coverage and will cause unsatisfactory weed control.
  • Apply LIBERTY 280 SL HERBICIDE in a minimum of 10 gallons of water per acre

Q
Is Liberty 280 SL Herbicide safe to use on bindweed mixed in daylilies?
A

Liberty 280 SL Herbicide is a non-selective herbicide, so it will affect whatever plants you spray with it. If you are targeting weeds that are around desirable plants such as daylilies, then you would need to spot treat the target weeds very carefully so that there is no overspray onto the daylilies.
