  • For top-dress applications, refer to suggested rate tables on bag labels and product sheets. Uniformly spread fertilizer on container surface; avoid piling fertilizer dose directly against plant stem.
  • Irrigate after application. Irrigation frequency and volume should be adjusted during the crop production cycle according to crop type, environmental conditions and desired soluble salt levels.

    Not for New Plant Starts

    By Robert on 02/17/2023

I was happy to see Osmocote available, but perhaps chose the wrong type for certain purposes. In the past, formulations were easy on new plant starts and I presumed this would be as well. The time release portion seems to be minimal, there are none of the green small spheres I associate Osomocote with. So, the product was great for my citrus and trees, but burned my new strawberry plants. I would get the higher grade Osmocote for new plants the next time.
