Starbar QuikStrike II Fly Abatement Strip is an abatement strip that is easy-to-use and compatible with IPM programs for a quick knockdown of house flies and lesser house flies. Starbar QuikStrike II Fly Abatement Strip contains dinotefuran in a sugar-based matrix that will attract flies to feed on it, and eventually die. With its triple action, flies are attracted directly to the product area. Since Starbar QuikStrike II Fly Abatement Strip works via feeding, ventilation will not reduce its effectiveness. Can be easily applied by removing the strip from the protective pouch, then simply snapping the attractant tube until a snapping sound is heard. We recommended placing the bait station within 4 feet of the ground where house flies and lesser house flies usually scavenge for food. Starbar QuikStrike II Fly Abatement Strip can be placed around waste containers, animal shelters, food-handling facilities, and other establishments where there are house flies and lesser flies infestations. See the label for the use rate depending on the severity of the infestation.

HOW TO APPLY:

Remove the strip from the protective pouch. Handle by grasping curved ends of the station. To activate the attractant, simply squeeze/snap the attractant tube until a snapping sound is heard.

Apply the station one of two ways:

  1. Affix on a stationary object low to the ground. (Do not hang from one end in a breezy area as flies will not land on moving objects.) The station may be placed at any angle but is most effective when placed on a flat surface.
  2. To contain killed flies, the station may be leaned upright in a bucket or box partially filled with sand, brick, or other weight to keep it from being blown over.

USE RATE:

  • In enclosed structures or sites with low to moderate house fly populations, use 1 station per 300 square feet.
  • In open structures or sites with high house fly populations, use 1 station per 100-150 square feet.

Replace when effectiveness diminishes. When the yellow coloring of the strip is gone, the station will not be effective.
