Product Overview

Triumph RTU Herbicide is a professional-grade, ready-to-use herbicide formulated for controlling unwanted trees and preventing resprouting through cut surface applications. It combines two Group 4 synthetic auxin herbicides, picloram and 2,4-D, to provide systemic control of woody vegetation through direct application to cut or wounded plant tissue.

Triumph RTU is designed for use in forestry and non-crop environments where selective removal of trees and brush is required. Because the product is applied undiluted directly to cut surfaces, it delivers targeted control while minimizing off-target exposure when used according to label directions.

This applicator-friendly formulation requires no mixing and is well suited for cut stump treatments, frill or girdle applications, and tree injection methods. Triumph RTU provides an efficient solution for managing unwanted trees in rights-of-way, fencerows, roadsides, and forest management areas.

Extended Application Instructions:

Triumph RTU Herbicide is applied undiluted and is intended only for cut surface treatments. It may be used for cut stump, frill or girdle, and tree injection applications in labeled forestry and non-crop sites.

For cut stump treatments, apply Triumph RTU immediately after cutting the tree. Thoroughly wet the cambium layer next to the bark using the squeeze applicator. Complete coverage of the cut surface is critical to prevent resprouting.

For frill or girdle treatments, make a continuous series of overlapping axe cuts completely around the tree trunk near ground level. Apply Triumph RTU directly to the exposed cuts as soon as possible after wounding to ensure uptake. For difficult-to-control species, continuous cuts may provide better results than spaced applications.

For tree injection treatments, inject approximately 1 milliliter of product per cut at intervals of 2 to 3 inches around the trunk. Injections may be made near ground level or higher on the trunk depending on the equipment used. Treatments may be made during most seasons; however, avoid treating maples during spring sap flow.

Do not apply Triumph RTU through any type of irrigation system. Do not apply to residential or commercial lawns or near ornamental trees and shrubs. Avoid drift or runoff to non-target plants, water, or irrigation channels. Always read and follow the product label for complete directions, restrictions, and precautions.
