For frill or girdle treatments, make a continuous series of overlapping axe cuts completely around the tree trunk near ground level. Apply Triumph RTU directly to the exposed cuts as soon as possible after wounding to ensure uptake. For difficult-to-control species, continuous cuts may provide better results than spaced applications.
For tree injection treatments, inject approximately 1 milliliter of product per cut at intervals of 2 to 3 inches around the trunk. Injections may be made near ground level or higher on the trunk depending on the equipment used. Treatments may be made during most seasons; however, avoid treating maples during spring sap flow.
Do not apply Triumph RTU through any type of irrigation system. Do not apply to residential or commercial lawns or near ornamental trees and shrubs. Avoid drift or runoff to non-target plants, water, or irrigation channels. Always read and follow the product label for complete directions, restrictions, and precautions.
