Serata Fungicide is a professional turf fungicide featuring picarbutrazox, a novel active ingredient and new Group U17 mode of action, for targeted control of Pythium diseases. As a new chemistry for Pythium management, Serata gives turf managers an important rotational tool with no known cross-resistance between picarbutrazox and other oomycete chemistries.
With translaminar activity, Serata helps move protection across treated leaf tissue for more complete coverage of the application area. It controls key Pythium diseases in warm- and cool-season turfgrass, including Pythium foliar blight, Pythium damping-off, Pythium root dysfunction, and Pythium root rot. Serata is especially valuable in commercial turf programs where Pythium pressure can develop quickly under warm, humid conditions or persist in root-zone disease programs during spring and fall.
Serata’s unique mode of action makes it a major addition to Pythium control and resistance management programs. This water-dispersible granule is labeled for commercial use on golf courses, sports fields, commercial lawns, residential lawns treated by commercial applicators, sod farms, turf seed farms, cemeteries, recreational areas, parks, and listed landscape areas.

General Application: Serata Fungicide is a water-dispersible granule for control of listed Pythium diseases in turfgrass. Apply preventively according to the target disease, site, and disease pressure. Thorough spray coverage is essential for optimal performance. Prepare only the amount of spray solution needed for the day of application, and calibrate spray equipment before use.
Ground Application: Apply Serata Fungicide in 1 to 4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. with ground equipment. Use enough spray volume to provide complete and uniform coverage of the foliage. Apply with properly calibrated equipment using medium spray droplets according to nozzle manufacturer guidance and label directions.
Pythium Foliar Blight: Apply 0.6 to 0.8 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. as a preventive treatment during periods of high temperature and humidity favorable to Pythium blight development. During prolonged favorable disease conditions, reapply on a 14 to 21 day interval. Use the lower rate for the shorter interval and the higher rate for the longer interval within the application rate range. Apply in 1 to 4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. with ground equipment.
