GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

This is for use on lawns, around home foundations (perimeter treatment), ornamental and flower gardens, and vegetable gardens for the control of the insects.

VEGETABLE GARDENS

This can be applied to vegetables.

  • Apply a single application before planting or after plants emerge and work into the top 4 to 6 inches of soil.
  • Use 1.0 lb. for a 500 sq. ft. area.

ORNAMENTALS & FLOWERS

This can be applied just before planting or after plants emerge.

  • Apply 0.5* to 1 lb. evenly over each 500 sq. ft. area.
  • Repeat if there are signs of renewed insect activity.

LAWNS

Apply this when insect activity or damage is first observed (lawn thins, brown spots appear, or moths fly up from the grass when mowed).

  • Spread this uniformly over lawn at the rates listed.
  • Water-in after application.
  • Do not use any other weed, disease, or insect control products for at least one week after application.
  • For best results and to prevent further damage, treat the entire lawn, not just the browned areas.
  • Repeat application if there are signs of renewed insect activity.

HOME FOUNDATION/BARRIER TREATMENT

Evenly apply a 2 foot wide band next to the house/home foundation.

  • Use 0.5* to 1.0 lb for each 500 sq. ft. (2 ft. x 250 ft.).

* 0.5 lb/500 sq. ft. is equivalent to l lb/1000 sq. ft.

I would like to get rid of grub worms but keep the earthworms. What does this product do to these 2 types of insects?

can this product be applied to areas when vegetables are growing underground,specifically beets?

Bonide Eight Flower & Vegetable Soil Insect Granules is not labeled to be used on soil that will be used for growing beets so we cannot recommend you use it there even if the beets have not emerged just yet.

Yes, Bonide Eight Flower & Vegetable Soil Insect Granules does need to be watered in after an application. The product needs to be uniformly spread across the lawn. For the best use and to prevent future damage, treat the entire lawn, not just the browned areas if there are any.

As long as you keep pets/children out of the area while you treat and until the Bonide Eight Flower & Vegetable Soil Insect Granules application and watering in has had time to completely dry or settle it is safe for pets and people to return and resume normal activity. Always be sure to follow the product label instructions. Typically after 4-6 hours
