We live on 1 acre area in the middle of avocado groves and date palm trees. Rats and mice are surrounded with food options. Our garage became a Rat condo heaven. When a banana was eaten out of the fruit bowl in the kitchen, I took action. I bought 3 Rat bait stations and placed purple blox inside. I checked two weeks later and all the blox was consumed. The dead rat smell was strong in 1 week. I will need to refill more often. I also bought 2 mouse t-rex traps and 2 larger Rat t-rex traps. I caught a chubby Rat on day three with T-rex and tiny amount of peanut butter. I caught a field mouse on day four with small t-rex.

I bought this to place traps outside my house so that I didn't hurt my dog (or the neighbor's cat). I use a wire tie from a sandwich bag to keep it closed (lock it). I've caught about 15 rats in my backyard over the last 3 months using these. Both the T-Rex Snap Trap and the Victor Power-Kill traps fit and have worked very well inside it (I haven't used the poison). Baiting the traps with 1 piece of dog food kibble and peanut butter seems to work very well.
