    Q
Will Provoke Rat Attractant work better than peanut butter?
I want to use provoke rat attractant to bait tree rats to hunt them with an air rifle which I already do with peanut butter. Will this work any better?
    A
Our motto is if it isn't broke, don't fix it.  If peanut butter is working great for your problem, you should continue to use it.  This product usually yeilds great results when other products have not attracted rats at all.  If you are already attracting rats just fine with peanut butter, then you may not see any different results with the Provoke Rat Attractant.

    Q
Will using Provoke Rat Attractant work better than peanut butter in the T-Rex traps?
Rats keep eating peanut butter out of T-Rex traps, will this give different results?
    A
If the rats are actually eating the peanut butter out of the T-Rex Rat Trap , we recommend that you stick with peanut butter. If the rats have been able to eat the peanut butter but not get caught (very unusual with the T-Rex trap), we recommend that you try to put a small smear of the peanut butter right on the trap peddle. This way the rat will have to actually stick its head into the trap and move the peddle to eat the peanut butter which of course will result in getting caught. You should note that the manufacturer of the T-Rex Rat Traps do not recommend using peanut butter in the T-Rex because the oils in the peanut butter can cause the plastic in the trap to breakdown. Unfortunately, once the rats have become accustomed to eating peanut butter they are not as likely to try the Provoke Attractant.

    Q
Is the Provoke Rat Attractant Non-toxic?
A reviewer says that he finds one dead rat a day in the trap. Is this product non-toxic or not? Also, what is the difference between this product and Provoke Rat Attractant 8?
    A
The Provoke Rat Attractant is non toxic. The reviewer was probably using a snap trap in combination with the Provoke. Provoke Rat Attractant will only attract the rats to the area where it is applied but will not harm them in any way. The number 8 after the Provoke Rat Attractant simply stands for the size of the bottle, which in this case is an 8 ounce bottle.

    Q
How much Rat Attractant do you use in each trap, or how many traps can you bait with an 8 oz bottle?
    A

Provoke Rat Attractant is applied in small pea sized drops or so.  How many traps the bottle will do depends on how much you use and is not set.

    Q
Will the active ingredients in the Provoke Professional Gel for Rat Traps also attract flies? We put this down in multiple traps and almost immediately had flies so wondering what the ingredients are?
    A

It is possible that the Provoke Professional Gel for Rat Traps are attracting flies as it contains food based attractants which contain a unique blend of scents appealing to rodents but could also be attracting the flies.
