    I'm looking for a wasp and hornet killer concentrate to put in my pump sprayer?
    A
    Concentrates are not considered to be contact kills, especially for wasp and hornets.  Even if you got close enough with a hand pump sprayer, which do not spray that far, the spray would not kill a wasp or hornet fast enough.  They would die, but not right away.  You can spray surfaces so when bees land on the surface they will prick up the spray and die, but they will not die right away.  The only product that provides fast knockdown of larger flying insects like wasps and hornets is Wasp Freeze, which comes in an aeorosl can but it shoots over 15 feet so you can knock them down from a safe distance.

    Would Wasp Freeze help stop wasps from getting behind my siding?
    I would like to know if this spray would do any good if I sparayed the area where the wasps are going in at. Do you know of any products that would decrease the pheramone scent to make the bees go somewhere else besides my house siding?

    Wasp Freeze works best on exposed nests that you can spray directly. We recommned that you use a hand duster and apply a dust such as Tempo dust to the holes where the wasps are going in and out. The dust will help eliminate the wasps in the nest and any other wasps returning to the nest. Tempo dust will stay effective for several months as long as it is dry. We are not aware of a product that would eliminate the wasp pheromone to help stop wasps from returning to a particular area. After dusting in the void where the wasps have a built a nest you can try spraying the siding with a product such as Talstar P. You can spray once a month and any wasp that lands on treated areas will be eliminated within about 24 hours which should stop new wasps from being able to build a nest.

    Do I need more than one can of wasp freeze for a paper wasp/hornet nest?
    I have a good sized paper wasp or hornet nest under the eave of my home. I will first have to check whether this product will reach it. I am not sure whether it is best to have one person spray the nest, or have two people, at two angles, spray it. Other questions: How much of the nest will fall down and how much will stay up there and have to be manually scraped off? If I have to go up on a ladder a scrape it off isn't the whole area going to be contaminated by the spray which sounds rather toxic I will be getting the basic safety kit. for application of the spray but would I need to wear that or more to remove nest residue or if the spot needs to be repainted? There is a vent/soffit near the nest, do I need to be concerned that the toxicity will infiltrate the house? I don't imagine there are less toxic options due to what has to be achieved? I can supply photos if it would be helpful. Thank you.

    It is hard to say if you will need more than one can or not without seeing the size of the nest, but it is always better to have too much than not enough.  Wasp freeze is actually quite safe and once dry is not effective any longer.  Wasp freeze is a contact kill only so it only is toxic to the flying insect you are shooting it at for a short time, and then once it dries it has done its damage and does not leave a residual.  It will not knock the nest down.  You will have to scrape it off as you suggested.  If you wait a few days there should be no concern about toxicity.  You should always wear gloves when handling a nest anyways.  Just scrape the nest off and then using gloves place it in a trash bag and discard of it.

    If a person gets sprayed with Wasp Freeze what are the side effects?

    Usually, the only side effect from getting Wasp Freeze sprayed on your skin is a small amount of skin irritation. We do recommend that you wear gloves, long pants and long sleeved shirts while using any type of insecticide to avoid getting it on you.

    Can I use Wasp Freeze Aerosol on a wasp nest in the ground?

    You can direct treat a wasp nest with Wasp Freeze. Wasp Freeze will kill any wasps that are sprayed directly with the product.

    How long before I can let my dog out after spraying PT Wasp Freeze?
    A

    PT Wasp Freeze II Aerosol should be used when the dog is not present until dry. This aerosol is used for a quick knockdown of listed insects. It should not be applied as a broadcast on the lawn. The dog can return when the surfaces are completely dry, long enough for the water to dissipate (about an hour or so).

    Will the Wasp Freeze work to defend my son if he sprays it and is it harmful if any gets on him?
    My son is a woodsmen and he runs into bald face hornet often. Needs to spray to defend himself. I need a spray that he can spray around him when needed.

    Is PT Wasp Freeze II Aerosol toxic to pets?
    Our patio was sprayed, so I don't know how to get rid of the residue as my puppy lays (and chews) the patio wood.

    Once PT Wasp Freeze II Aerosol  has dried completely, it is safe for pets to return to the treated area. It is not reactived by water. Be sure to keep pets out of the area until the product has dried.

    We just bought a new home and noticed a hornets nest up the corner of the front door. Will Wasp Freeze work?
    Will it affect the painting on the house?
    A
    Yes, Wasp Freeze would be a good choice if you know where the nest is located.  Just be sure to treat in the early morning or late afternoon/evening when the hornets are least active.  It should not stain the siding but if you have any concerns, it would be a good idea to do a small spot test first.

    We have several nests of yellow jackets on the underside of our deck. Will this take care of them?

    PT Wasp Freeze II Aerosol will kill yellow jackets on contact if sprayed directly. We recommend that you treat the nesting opening (early in the morning or late in the evening) with Tempo 1% Dust. Please take a few moments to read our article on how to get rid of them.

    Is it safe to eat plants that have been sprayed with Wasp Freeze Aerosol?
    The bug guy sprayed this on my cucumber plant thinking it was a weed. My plant has not bared any cucumbers yet. Once it does is it safe to eat since he only sprayed it on the leaves? Does it poison the soil?

    Wasp Freeze Aerosol  is not labeled to be applied to edible veggies. We do not recommend to consume the vegetation. Wasp Freeze Aerosol does not leach into soil, but is still not labeled to be applied to edible vegetation.

    Is PT Wasp Freeze ECO Friendly?

    PT Wasp Freeze is not an all-natural product, if that is your question. It is only a fast-acting contact kill, though, and does not leave residual insecticide once it dries. If you prefer an all-natural product for wasps, then we suggest EcoVia WH Stinging Insect Killer. Keep in mind that this product will not work quite as quickly as Wasp Freeze.

    I have yellow jackets and hornets on a pine tree near our kids play area. Will PT Wasp Freeze harm the tree if I spray it?

    PT Wasp Freeze II can be sprayed on and around pine trees.  You will want to keep the children out of the area while you are applying it and until it has dried.
