Rosemarie from Pittsburgh writes

I purchased 10 gal granules of B-A 12 mo. tree shrub - I have 7 hemlocks (contd below)

If 10 gal granules cover 13 8" trees & my 7 hemlocks measure 24" dia each - what is the measurement for how many trees I can cover with the 10 gal granules? I DO thank you.

Answer:

For Trees: 1 oz. for every inch of distance around the trunk; treats 5 trees that measure 8 inches around the trunk. You would want to also use 1 gallon of water for each inch of the trunk diameter. You want to go out about halfway between the trunk and the tree's drip line and evenly pour the solution in a circle around the base of the tree.
