I purchased a 4 step lawn care program for my 10,000 sq ft lawn. Can you tell me what order should I apply? The first step of the program I will be applying is a 18-0-3 w/ Dimension pre-emergent control with spring fertilizer, Can or should I apply Tenacity before or after applying 18-0-3 w Dimension and should I overseed before or after?

My lawn back yard lawn is really bad this year. I'm in Southeast Massachusetts. the ground temp now is 50

Answer:

You can apply Tenacity as a pre-emergent anytime before seeding a cool-season lawn. If you are planning to overseed this spring, however, you cannot apply a product that has Dimension in it before seeding or until the new grass is well established (Dimension will prevent the turfgrass seeds from germinating). We would recommend that you aerate before applying any kind of pre-emergent so that you do not disturb your soil applications.
