The Pyranha 1-10HPS Concentrate was developed using the highest quality of pyrethroids. It has a premium formulation that effectively controls flying insects in horse barns. It produces a fast knockdown and lasting protection from a wide range of biting insects that can be harmful. This can eliminate insects like mosquitoes, midges, face flies, stable flies, deer flies, horn flies and more. This is ideal to use in horse barns, dog kennels and zoo animal quarters to kill and hold off listed insects. The concentrate comes in a 2.5 gallon jug and is for use in a 30 gallon automatic spray system. Just mix the 2.5 gallons of solution to 30 gallons of water. This is not for use in facilities where animals will be slaughtered for human consumption.

Dilution / Use Rate (Indoor Space and Outdoor Sprays):
Dilute before using. Add 1 part of this product to 11 parts of clean water. Mix thoroughly prior to application. Repeat treatments only as necessary to maintain control.
Storage:
Keep in a cool dry area preferably locked and away from children and pets. Do not store below 32 Fahrenheit (0 Celsius). In case of spill or leakage, soak up with an absorbent material such as sand, sawdust, earth, fuller's earth, etc. Dispose of with chemical waste.
Environmental and Hazards:
This product is toxic to fish. Drift or runoff may adversely affect fish. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area. Rinsing application equipment over the treated area will help avoid run off to water bodies or drainage systems. This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds while bees are actively visiting the treatment area.

Pyranha Spray is in our main fly spray system, that's all we've ever used. It works so well I've never found a reason to change. The thing I like is that it doesn't harm the animals because our barn is full of small animals. It acts as a deodorizer where things don't always smell too rosey. Sometimes we have a hard time keeping the horses in the stalls when the timed sprayer comes on, just due to the mist, but in the heat of the day when those horses are fighting the flies down in the pasture, they will make a fast trot to hang out in the barn where they know it is a NO FLY ZONE!

My horse barn has been fly free going on 10 years now

Back in 2012, I purchased the Pyranha spray master system for my horse barn and it was the wisest decision I have ever done for maintaining a fly free zone in my horse stable. This concentrate is expensive so one time I tried a different version to save money in the concentrate and it did not work as well as this "Pyranha" concentrate. It really is true that you really do get what you pay for. I cringe every time I have to be more, but it is worth it to me because of the benefit it brings to my horses comfort.

Pyranha 1 - 10HPS Concentrate cannot be applied directly to horses. You can apply as a space spray in the barn. Permethrin SFR can be applied to horses for flies.

We apologize for any confusion. Pyranha 1-10HPS Concentrate is formulated for a 30 gallon tank in misting systems. For handheld sprayer use, you would dilute at a 1:11 rate with water. Pyranha 1-10HP is diluted at a rate of 1:21 in handheld sprayers to create the same end dilution rate. This information will be corrected shortly on our product pages. No, Pyranha 1-10HPS Concentrate for 30 Gallon Spray System is only labeled for flies. While it’s possible it could kill other insects out in the open at the time the system is set off, we cannot recommend it for fleas and ticks.
