Quack grass removal on a rye grass lawn using Certainty Herbicide

I have a ryegrass lawn in upper west Ohio. I have a quack grass infestation in different parts of my lawn. Would this product be safe to use on my grass? Considering that the quackgrass does not come up till fall, should I be putting this down in spring or summer?

Answer:

Certainty Herbicide - 1.25 oz. is for warm season lawns only and cannot be used on ryegrass as it will kill it too.  For treating quackgrass it would be best to spot treat with a glyphosate based product and reseed. the areas.
