Ranger Pro Herbicide is labeled to control poison ivy. You would use a 2% solution (2 2/3 oz per gal of water) and be sure to get thorough coverage on the leaves. Another great option for vines and brush is a product containing triclopyr such as Ferti-lome Brush Killer for smaller areas or Crossbow Herbicide for larger applications.
The makers of RoundUP QuikPro have their own ingredient ratios and product formulations, which we are not cognizant of. It is not possible to take Ranger Pro Herbicide and Diquat Water Weed And Landscape Herbicide to make an exact match.
The product label of Ranger Pro Herbicide does not indicate that this product is safe for Provista St. Augustine grass. We would recommend contacting the manufacturer (Monsanto Company) directly for more information at 800-331-2867.
Ranger Pro Herbicide does not contain paraquat, it contains glyphosate.
Ranger Pro Herbicide contains 41% glyphosate and 59% other ingredients, including surfactant. The inert ingredients are privy to the manufacturer and not disclosed to consumers and distributors.
Ranger Pro Herbicide can be used in and around a vegetable garden plot (keep away from any desirable plants and do not spray vegetables directly only spot treat weeds carefully) but you should wait at least two weeks before you plant anything in the area where the product was applied.
Ranger Pro Herbicide is not labeled to be used in a mist blower as far as we are aware, however the manufacturer Monsanto Company can better specify. They can be reached at (314) 694-1000.
