I have a lot weeds in my shrub bed and I would like to use something that would kill the weeds but not the trees and shrubs.
We do carry a few products that can be used in flower beds and around trees and shrubs. Fertilome Over The Top Grass Killer (post emergent), Hi Yield Weed and Grass Stopper (pre-emergent) and Dimension 2EW (pre-emergent) and several others. We recommend you identify the weeds you are having issues with before selecting a product as most products only work for the weeds they list on their product labels. You can contact your local cooperative extension office and speak to the master gardener on staff if you need help identifying weeds. The master gardener can also tell you what type of herbicide will work best in your region right now (pre or post emergent) and won't damage your ornamental plants. Always be sure to read the product label of the product you select before purchasing to make sure the weeds you are trying to eliminate are listed and the ornamental plants you have are listed as a species that is tolerant to the herbicide.
