Reemit 0.5 G Fire Ant Bait is a professional ant bait with the active ingredient pyriproxyfen 0.50%, which is a low toxicity and long-lasting IGR. It is approved for use in and around rangeland and pastures as well as many tree nut and citrus crops (see label for a complete list of application sites). Reemit helps to protect livestock, crops, workers and equipment from the invasive effects of fire ants. It is a granular formulation that the w orker ants take back to their colonies where it is ingested by the queen. This disrupts her reproductive cycle and prevents larval development, which destroys the colony in just a matter of weeks. For best results, it is recommended to apply in early spring or summer.
