Reemit 0.5 G Fire Ant Bait is a professional ant bait with the active ingredient pyriproxyfen 0.50%, which is a low toxicity and long-lasting IGR. It is approved for use in and around rangeland and pastures as well as many tree nut and citrus crops (see label for a complete list of application sites). Reemit helps to protect livestock, crops, workers and equipment from the invasive effects of fire ants. It is a granular formulation that the w orker ants take back to their colonies where it is ingested by the queen. This disrupts her reproductive cycle and prevents larval development, which destroys the colony in just a matter of weeks. For best results, it is recommended to apply in early spring or summer.

Fire ant battle victory

This ant bait worked great. We used it on a small farm and chose it based on the fact it's labeled for use in multiple type locations. We could see the ants scurry to gather the bait within seconds of application. After a few weeks, we saw almost no fire ant activity. In past years, we used other products and had to repeat application many times.
