Having several acres of field that has been neglected for decades, the birds have kindly seeded it with nuisance Autumn Olives in several areas. As some have crept in between desirable trees, I did not want to try a foliar kill that might directly impact the nicer treesvia drift.
Having seen a video on basal bark treatments, I thought I'd give it a try as it is precise and cost efficient - a definite requirement for this $100/gal. formulation. Mixed at 1:3 with diesel, careful application at the bottom 1.5' of the trunks yielded positive and observable results with shriveling & dropping leaves within only 5 days or so. I will be monitoring for any soil migration of the herbicide on neighboring vegetation over the next season as this stuff is potent!
