When to apply a Prodiamine in the Charlotte location or 30 min north of Charlotte, NC called Mooresville as to catch in early spring. How to know when
    A

Resolute 65 WG is the generic of Barricade 65 WDG.  Every part of the country is different and we are not sure of exactly when would be good for your area.  Timing is typically between February 1st to March 15th. However, your local county extension office should know exactly when to apply the product in your specific area.  Click here to find your local county extension office.

    Q
What is best for crabgrass preventer in Kentucky Bluegrass, various fescues and buffalo grass?
    A

The Resolute 65 would be a fantastic option for you to use for crabgrass prevention and is safe to use on all the varieties of turf you mentioned above. You will need to use 0.185- 0.83 oz (0.5 - 2.25 tbs) per 1,000 sq ft. To decide how much water you want to use, you should mark a 1,000 sq ft area, fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area, and that is the amount you will want to mix 0.185- 0.83 oz (0.5 - 2.25 tbs) of product with for each 1,000 sq ft area that needs to be treated. Please refer to the product label for full application instructions.

    Q
Is Resolute effective against un-germinated seeds anytime of year?
Even though weeds have sprouted, will the pre-emergent prevent new weeds of the same variety from growing?
    A
Yes, Resolute is effective anytime of year. Having said that the product only lasts so long in the soil and if applied too early it will not be effective to newly germinating seeds. If applied too late you could miss the window of the seed germination. We always recommend that you check with your master gardener at your local cooperative extension office who can tell you the best time to apply pre-emergents in your region so you are not wasting product and missing the window.
