Resolute 65WG (WG stands for Wettable Granule) is an effective pre-emergent herbicide for pre-emergent grass and broadleaf weed control. Containing the active ingredient prodiamine, Resolute 65 WG Pre-Emergent Herbicide can be applied in both the spring and fall for season long crabgrass control. Resolute Prodiamine 65 WDG also controls bluegrass, spurge, witchgrass and more, and can be used safely on St. Augustine, Bermudagrass, Fescue and other common turf grasses (see label for complete list). This weed preventer is non-staining and can be mixed and applied along with fertilizer and iron solutions.
To apply this prodiamine pre-emergent herbicide, mix the appropriate amount of Resolute 65 WG and water in a hand pump or backpack sprayer. If desired, a dye indicator can be added to mark the application spray pattern. The amount of Resolute 65WDG will depend on the length of weed control desired, the turf species the spray will be applied to, and the number of applications to be made per year. See the label for specific mix rates and application instructions.Compare to Barricade 65WG Herbicide

By Allan on 03/25/2013
I received product promptly. I used on my lawn by diluting 2 tablespoon of resolute per gallon water. then I marked off 31' by 31'. Using a gilmour hand sprayer attached my hose, I sprayed the 1000 sq. feet area evenly with 1/2 gallon of the mixture. I repeated above process until all areas where covered.

Great Product!!

I originally purchased Resolute for my yard in Florida which is mostly covered with crushed coral. I sprayed it over the entire lot and it virtually stopped all weed germination for 4 months. It worked so well that I bought another container for my lawn in PA. I sprayed a little over 2 acres and I am waiting to see if it prevents the crabgrass from germinating.

Good stuff

My lawn was actually a weed infested pastureland that they built a subdivision upon. I used 1.5 TBSP per 1000 sq ft. 6 weeks ago and it prevented roughly 85% of the weeds from emerging. I followed up with Surge 3 weeks ago which took care of the rest. Just planted Bermuda. Hope to have a lawn by June.

The first thing you need to know when using an herbicide such as Resolute 65 WG is that the exact amount of water you dilute it with is not important. It is only important to make sure you are using the correct amount of product per 1,000 sq ft of lawn. Use too much and you risk damaging your lawn, use too little and you will not get adequate results. You will need to use 0.185- 0.83 oz (0.5 - 2.25 tbs) per 1,000 sq ft . To decide how much water you want to use, you should mark a 1,000 sq ft area, fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area, and that is the amount you will want to mix 0.185- 0.83 oz (0.5 - 2.25 tbs) of product with for each 1,000 sq ft area that needs to be treated. Please refer to the product label for full application instructions.

I have a ortho sprayer that I attach my hose to the end. Can I use it for this product
Resolute 65 WG would not work in a hose end sprayer as it is a water-dispersable granule.
