Poa Annua vs. Revolver
By W. on 06/01/2018
Revolver is the best way I have found to battle Poa Annua in a Zoysia Emerald grass. Have been using Revolver for 3 years and am rating Revolver as #1! Combined with Dimension 2EW Herbicide as the pre-emergent I am totally satisfied even at the rather expensive cost. I use a 25" front throw reel mower and am very particular about the appearance of my lawn, which I planted using sod 6 years ago. My location is Southeast Georgia.

Did the trick
By Vols on 05/10/2016
One application and that ugly poanna has turned yellow. It was taking over our yard! We even applied before the daytime temperature got over 74 degrees...just could not wait to kill that nasty stuff. Yes, the price is high, but it works. The manager of our golf course told us about this product. So thanks to him and Revolver!!

Revolver Selective Herbicide
By Henry on 06/27/2011
Product is expensive $279 per quart, but effective. Revolver killed 50% of Dallis weed grass infested in Bermuda grass areas. Dosage required 5 ounces per gallon which meant the product volume didn't last very long. Application was made fairly evenly to Dallisgrass. Perhaps some Dallisgrass (regardless of maturity) received more dosage or for whatever reason didn't die.

Will Kill Poa Annua
By Garry on 04/03/2020
My lawn is bermuda grass. I've tried Certainty, Image, and Negate 37WG (costly attempts), and none of them would kill the poa annua in my lawn. They wouldn't even stress the poa (make them yellow). I used this Revolver once, and within a week the poa annua was yellow/turning brown. Within about two and a half to three weeks the poa annua was totally dead. This is the only herbicide that I've used that kills poa annua in bermuda. Mixing this with some pre-emergent (I use Dimension) will knock out poa annua. Expensive, but worth every penny.

Goosegrass Terminator
By Coach on 07/05/2018
We had what the Ag Co-Op gentleman called one of the most aggressive cases of goose grass he had ever seen. One application and ONE day later this stuff had completely yellowed our all the gaps grass. It is pretty remarkable.

Finally something that kills Poa
By John on 05/19/2023
I have been battling Poa Annua in my Bermuda yard for a few years, and it was particularly bad this year. I had tried Image, Certainty and others with little to no effect. I read that Revolver was effective against Poa Annua, so I bought some and applied it in early May, just as temperatures were starting to consistently hit upper 70's - 80's. After about a week, I noticed significant yellowing to the Poa, and no damage to the Bermuda. I followed up about 10 days after initial application to spot treat weeds I had missed on the first application. This year's crop of Poa is definitely being annihilated. I will use a different pre-emergent in the fall to try to do a better job of preventing such an outbreak again next year. But, it is nice to know that I now have a post-emergent product that will work if the pre-emergent does not. Yes, the product is expensive, but it is highly concentrated. For blanket spraying for Poa, I used 0.4 oz per 1,000 sq ft. So, I could blanket spray my entire 13,000 sq ft of turf about 6 times over with one bottle. So, one bottle should last the average homeowner several years.

Strong Herbicide - Works as advertised
By Craig on 06/01/2018
I had Emerald Zosia that was getting invaded by some Poa. Since it was recently planted last fall, I didn't pre-treat for Poa this season to make sure Zosia fully rooted. After 1 treatment with Revolver, 3 weeks later all Poa (and other) weeds are history and I have plush, green grass.

Great product
By Keith on 06/02/2018
This stuff is lethal to annual bluegrass. After mixing and spraying per the directions, within 3 weeks the bluegrass was literally gone. The price made me wince but this stuff has saved me untold hours of hand pulling this hard to control menace. Supplied with a very good measuring column. Very pleased with the results.

Southern Bermuda Lawn - Poa Annua Killer
By Robert on 05/04/2018
I sprayed with Revolver on my Bermuda lawn. Bermuda was just beginning the growing season and I was concerned that I may stress the grass. But the Poa Annua is dead or dying and the Bermuda is doing great. There were a couple of spots that I had to retreat but I probably missed those on the first pass. I definitely recommend the Surfactant to improve adhesion of Revolver to Poa Annua. Definitely recommend. Will provide my .3 acres with 4 years of chemical so somewhat justifies the price.

Did not work
By Thomas on 03/28/2021
I spent a lot of money on this product to kill the poa anna that was not killed by the pre emergant I put down in the fall. It did not have any effect and I used Revolver at the specified quantity. I will try again with what ever is left in the bottle in a few weeks. I was really hopeful that this would work but very disappointed that it had no effect.

Great results
By Joe on 06/01/2018
Great product to kill POA. Expensive per bottle, but reasonable per application. Be sure to use MSO (surfactant) at 1% of spray volume. It took about 3 weeks to kill some of my shaded POA. I mixed with Surge (broadleaf) herbicide, after a compatibility test.

Does the job!
By Bill on 04/12/2022
Does the job well IF you follow the directions. These people that use 2 or more ounces per gallon of H2O must not read because that is 2.5 to 5 X the amount you should use. The othe'sr that claim it doesn't work probably aren't using a surfactant either. READ THE DIRECTIONS!

Poa Annua Problem Solver
By Oren on 12/27/2021
I purchased a bottle of Revolver last year and was able to fend off a large infestation of Poa Annua in my one acre lawn. A little bit of product goes a long way in a pump sprayer. I'm going to get about two seasons out of this bottle which is well worth the investment. I've seen results in a little over a week when I use it. Other products do make the Poa Annua yellow and die of slowly but the Revolver is a quick acting product that yield solid results with one application and a small amount of product. I used two ounces per gallon on spot treatment in some small to medium sized areas in my lawn.
Awesome
By Martin on 03/24/2022
I recently had my backyard recited with zoysia grass. After the first season the Georgia took extremely well but we had a lot of fescue and weeds growing up between the seams of the sod. It looked horrible. After researching ways to take care of this. I came across revolver. It was expensive but after two applications spread outOver a month. Revolver slowly started to work in by the end of the third month I had a beautiful so is your lawn with no weeds or fescue anywhere.

Knocked out my Poa Annua when nothing else would
By Clint on 03/15/2024
Ok, so while not completely true as Negate also killed my Poa Annua this didn't hurt my Zoysia at all. I used the smallest dose, .5oz per gallon. 2.5 weeks after treatment I saw the Poa Annual yellowing. Hit it one more time and then a few weeks later it was dead with literally no damage to my Zoysia. Great stuff, just expensive but a little will go a long way.
