The Salvo Flea and Tick Collar is a long-lasting collar that will provide continuous protection for your pets for up to 12 months. The collar features a triple clasp system that secures the collar to keep it from sliding or stretching but, it will give if the dog becomes tangled. The collar also features a peel away comfort strip which reduces irritation while the collar is worn. Salvo Flea and Tick Collar is newly formulated with time release technology that work hand in hand with your dog’s natural oils to distribute the active ingredient from head to tail, providing the ultimate protection. The Salvo Flea and Tick Collar kills fleas on contact, so they do not even have to bite your dog in order to die. It will protect your dog from 3 different types of ticks including deer ticks, American dog ticks, and brown dog ticks. The collar is waterproof, which allows continues to provide protection even after swimming or bathing. Each package contains 2 collars to provide your dog with protection for an entire year. Each collar should be worn continuously and changed out every 6 months.

| Application | Place collar around the dogs neck, adjust for fit, and buckle in place with the main clasp. Feed the remaining collar through the other two clasps for extra hold and clean fit. The collar must be worn loosely to allow for growth of the dog and for it to move about the neck. Cut off and dispose of excess length. Wash hands after placing the collar on the dog. Replace every 6 months. |

A properly fitted collar is one that will slide snugly over your dogs head when fastened.

Easy to use. The large size collars are so long that I can actually wrap it around my standard poodle's neck twice and still fasten it comfortably. They also stretch, which is wonderful when you have a dog whose hair grows constantly like my poodles. My standard poodle girls are around 45 lbs but my boy is 70 lbs.

Excellent product

Excellent product. I've had trouble with other products to control fleas on my dog. I have two beautiful Yorkies who love to go outside. It seems that attract fleas. With this collar , I was Very surprised and pleased. This is the best of any product I have used to control fleas.

These flea collars are great for clearing my dogs of fleas& Ticks . The fleas were super bad around my shop, so bad I had to spray for them two days in a row. Now all I have to do is keep them off the dogs. that I ordered Salvo Flea & tick collars.

Didn't see this warning included in product description. Not until I ordered it and see label on package do I see do not use on cats. Is it ok to use on dogs with cats in the same house where they play and sleep together
Salvo Dog Flea and Tick Collar is safe for use on dogs with cats in the home, you just could not use it on cats themselves.

The Salvo Dog Flea and Tick Collar in size small/medium will fit up to 20 inches. We suggest sizing up if you believe a larger size may be needed. The collars are adjustable and you can simply cut off the excess if it is too large.

The Salvo Dog Flea and Tick Collar is only labeled to control fleas and ticks. It will not effect mites.Martins Flea, Tick and Mange Dip would be a better option if you are dealing with mange mites.
My baby has seizures would this collar be safe for him, would it cause a seizure!? Thank you for your feedback, time & patients

We have a long-haired Akita. Akitas have a very thick undercoat. They're danged near impossible to even get wet. I'll put on the topicals (frontline, etc) every 2 weeks and she is still plagued with fleas!!! Has hot spots and irritated skin all over from licking and scratching. FYI- Yes, I'm positive the hotspots and abrasions are from her dealing with fleas. In the winter (when the fleas are finally under control), her skin is pristine, no scratching, no licking.
Yes, the Salvo Dog Flea and Tick Collar should work on long-haired dogs as well as long as you are following the instructions on the product label.
