Product Overview

Savannah Elevated Garden Rain Saver is a Colonial-inspired rain barrel with a flat back design. It is made with thick and sturdy polyethylene resin which is guaranteed weather-resistant. Its exterior features a classic colonial style to give it a touch of elegance, while the flat back design allows you to position it on flat areas or close to the wall. The top part has a self-draining planter area which allows you to plant flowers, vegetables, or crops. It has a built in overflow channel which diverts excess water to prevent your foundation from flooding. There is also a soft meshed screen which helps filter water and avoid clog by blocking debris and insects from coming in. It also highlights a dual brass spigot, one on front for hoses, and another on the side for buckets. This rain barrel provides a high-quality design and will let you collect rain water in a stylish way. It weighs 25 lbs. and has a 50-gallon capacity with the color Cool Gray.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Setup and usage of the Rain Wizard 40, 50, 300, Big Blue 55, Rock, Urn, Savannah Rain Saver, Impressions Coral and Linen series.

NOTE: If your barrel comes with a spigot pre-installed, skip to step 3.

  1. Remove screen with a screw driver. Locate the hardware kit inside (brass spigot and plumber’s tape). Reattach screen.
  2. Wrap the tape around the threaded end of the spigot in a counterclockwise direction.
  3. Select an appropriate house downspout for use.
  4. If you are using a rain diverter, go to step 6. Position the barrel next to the downspout. If your barrel will be on a stand or somehow elevated, be sure that it is raised to its final assembled height before step 5.
  5. Mark a point on the downspout 4 in. (101mm) above the screen.
  6. Carefully cut your downspout at your mark or according to rain diverter instructions. Move the base back against the wall, keeping it level or slightly pitched forward.
  7. Enjoy pure fresh rain water!
  • Remove debris that accumulates on the screen.
  • Rinse out the barrel before and after storing.
  • Drain the barrel completely if temperatures are to drop below freezing.
  • Pressure will decrease as the barrel drains. If flow is minimal and the barrel is more than halfway full, remove the spigot and check for debris inside the barrel.
  • WATER IS NOT POTABLE! If you intend to use collected rain water for drinking, be sure to follow proper sanitization procedures.
  • Attach a soaker hose to conveniently water plants
  • Use a pump attachment to increase pressure regardless of water level.
  • Due to certain environmental conditions, you may notice a slight bulge in the rain barrel. This bulge does not affect the integrity of the rain barrel.
