This natural formula helps condition your soil by adding organic matter and sphagnum peat moss to promote healthier plant growth. It contains essential nutrients that your foliage needs in order to survive and grow healthy. HOW TO USE:

Mix into native soil as a conditioner for existing gardens or when establishing new lawns or gardens.

WHERE NOT TO USE:

Not for use in container gardening.

WHEN TO APPLY

When conditioning gardens or lawns.

INSTRUCTIONS:

When conditioning soil for gardens:

  1. For new gardens, spread 2 to 3 inches of product.
  2. For new gardens, mix into the top 6 to 8 inches of native soil then level. For existing gardens, spread evenly and gently mix into existing soil.
  3. Water thoroughly then apply mulch (optional) to gardens.

When conditioning soil for new lawns:

  1. Spread 2 to 3 inches of product into your lawn area.
  2. Mix into the top 1 to 2 inches of native soil then level.
  3. Water thoroughly, after seeding.

Can I use Scotts Premium Topsoil for planting in a container?

I am companion planting in a Crystalyx tub, several ornamental flowers (dianthus, lantana and some sweet potato vine).

Scotts Premium Topsoil is not for use in containers. It should only be applied to lawns and landscape areas for in ground use only. We do offer other soil options here that may meet your needs here.
