    Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed 2 is a granule which must be watered in immediately after application, either through irrigation or rainfall. If you are expecting very heavy rainfall, then it is usually best to wait until after rain so that you have better control of the irrigation of the product. With very heavy rain right after the granules are put down, you may get some movement of the active ingredient which can create uneven or sporadic weed control.

    I applied Scott's Bonus S about 2 weeks ago. I watered right after, and watered the next 2 days also. When should I see the weeds start to die off? I haven't noticed a difference yet.

    Is the weed killer portion of Bonus S absorbed through the leaves or the roots?

    Anytime you want to apply an herbicide, fertilizer, or fungicide to your yard you should always stick strictly to no mowing 2 full days prior to when you plan to appy the product, and no mowing for at least 2 full days after your application. This will make sure the yard is not under additional stress and will ensure better uptake of any product used.

    Why can't you spread Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed 2 with a hand held spreader?
    A

    The product label for Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed 2 does specify that the product should not be applied by hand or in a hand-held device. This restriction may be in place to limit the risk of exposure for the applicator, such as skin contact. Broadcast or drop push spreaders also tend to allow you to apply product more evenly over the treatment area. This product also has a pretty low use rate that would be difficult to accomplish evenly using hand-held equipment. We must always recommend that you apply products in accordance with the product label since that is how the product is legally approved for use.

    I am starting to see some serious weed popping up. Some invasive Bermuda grass is rearing its ugly head. My St Augustine is shows signs of growth

    Why do I need to apply Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed 2 and then washing it off?

    When applying Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed 2 it should be applied to grass that is dry and then the application should be watered in immediately after. Watering this product is, is not washing the product off, it is activating the active ingredient in the product that works to kill the weeds.

    Can I apply Scott's Bonus S Southern Weed & Feed in the evening and water afterwards? My hope is to let it dry overnight while my dog is inside.

Keep in mind, also, that this product should not be used for weed control during winter dormancy.
