    It's ok

    By Jeff on 10/16/2016

Only thing I've found that works on nutsedge. But mixed per instructions it will brown out Bermuda as well. If I use it again I will dilute it more and apply two or three times in a week.

    Be Patient

    By R. on 02/09/2017

SedgeHammer is not fast acting, but proficient in killing sedge. Be patient and wait at least 2 weeks before applying another application. You will notice a small amount of yellowing of the sedge after about a week.

    Thanks

    By Charles on 06/07/2017

It appears that this herbicide is effective. Probably will require a second application in some areas. Unfortunately it is a little expensive.

    Undecided

    By Janice on 06/15/2017

I've applied the product, now just waiting for the nutsedge to die. Not acting as quickly as I would have liked. It is beginning to turn yellow. It does say it could take 7-14 days to work. I'm going to try a second application

Amazing, worked like a charm on my sedge

    By Jeff on 06/20/2017

Patience, it takes about 10 days before you see any action. Did temporarily discolor my empire zoysia but it's been very hot and humid here in FL. The few spots that I missed or it didn't work were few and far between. I simply put a little roundup and water in a cup and "hand painted" it on those nutsedge weeds that were missed.

Knocks down sedge within a few days, you can tell they are not doing well. Kills mature sedge within a week.

    Worked great

    By Laura on 07/02/2017

I had a small infestation of nutsedge in my bermuda grass and this took care of it. I sprayed 3 days after mowing and then waited another 3 days before I mowed again. I also only used about half a gallon and stored the remaining half gallon of solution in the basement for 3 weeks and then reused it. It worked great and killed off the remaining nutsedge. I now have the only lawn on the block without a nutsedge problem.

    SedgeHammer works as advertised

    By Ohioalan on 07/22/2017

Nutsedge-Nutgrass is listed as the 3rd worst weed in the world. I can attest to that. After 30 plus years in the same house, Nut Sedge has shown up this year with a vengeance. My wife started pulling the Nutsedge out by hand, not realizing that Nutsedge responds by growing back 10 times stronger (from the nutlets in the ground). I've used SedgeHammer twice and have seen quick results. It may take a multiple applications to get it all, but it works . . . while not killing other ornamental turf grass - however, SedgeHammer will kill other weeds that happen to get a dose of the herbicide. While you may kill what you can see in the turf, it may show up later in landscape beds. Unfortunately, you can only kill what you can see. So do not be surprised when this takes multiple applications.

    Taking Care of Nut Sedge

    By Beth on 08/01/2017

Controlling nut sedge in my part of Texas was almost impossible until my cousin directed me to SedgeHammer and DoMyOwn. My order was filled promptly and the price was more than reasonable. I did not know how reasonable until I priced the same product in the same amount at a local nursery and discovered they charged $10 more then DoMyOwn! Thank you DoMyOwn!

    Works Very Well! A+

    By Laura on 08/04/2017

I used Sedgehammer to control Yellow Nutgrass in an established lawn of Bermuda in central Texas. It takes a good two weeks to kill but I can tell it has taken a big hit on a majority of the grass. I plan to re-treat soon (within the three week mark) to get the ones left behind. It didn't hurt any of the bermuda. Make sure to use a non-ionic surfactant with it to get into the plant. And follow the watering rules listed on the label. I sprayed then mowed the yard a few days later, next round I will mow first then wait to spray to see if I get a quicker response.

Excellent product - THE answer to nutsedge

    By David on 08/06/2017

Having myself contributed to the development of this material years ago as an ag-chem herbicide, I already knew it was the best choice to control yellow nutsedge. So when we moved to our new home and found that the lawn, unfortunately, had an infestation of what is one of the world's worst weeds , I ordered SedgeHammer with confidence that it would work, and it did ... took out the entire weed crop of yellow nutsedge in my bluegrass lawn with one spray used as directed.

    This Product works!

    By Ddm on 08/14/2017

Tried eliminating this pest from garden using other products, etc.Recently tried "HAMMER". Sprayed a large petunia bed. It works. No harm to the petunias. The sedge seems to burn out at its base. I suspect that what is happening below ground is just as effective. Will know next year. Very satisfied and have recommended to others.

    GREAT!

    By Brian on 08/17/2017

Sedgehammer Works absolutely like they said it would I put a second application on just for the heck of it to get rid of a product but it took about 4 days and they really started looking sick like brownish and I finally cut the grass and what's left of them doesn't look very healthy I don't expect it to come back I'm impressed and will be back. Good prices and reliable product

    SedgeHammer is Effective

    By David on 08/25/2017

I had several patches of nut sedge in gardens and lawn that I treated with Sedgehammer. In a week signs of sick plants were evident and although individual plants returned, they were sparse. It will take persistence to get all the bits of roots killed but the product appears to have gotten the majority on the first spraying. This is much better success than with Roundup or other products.

    The best

    By Arth on 09/22/2017

Don't see how any one could rate this less than 5 stars. It destroys the wicked weed that is relentless if you don't use this kryptonite. Get over the price and "hammer" away at the Sedgenut.

    Impressive product

    By Wayne on 09/22/2017

After trying Nutgrass Killer II at a much more expensive price with no indication of improvement after precisely following the manufacturers instructions, I was not expecting much from SedgeHammer. In fact I purchased enough product for 3 applications fully expecting that one would not completely get rid of the Nut Sedge in our Tall Grass Fescue lawn. To my delight it appears that we have NO surviving plants. Surely I am wrong, but a few weeks have passed and I see nary a plant lift its head with absolutely no indication of stress to our Fescue. I am a believer.

    it does work

I have used it last year, and it did good job. I have some more of nut sedge grass peeking up this spring, hope this time it will be gone forever after treatment.

    SedgeHammer use in landscaped area

    By E. on 05/18/2018

I can't give more than three stars at this time. I applied two treatments two days apart and the sedge has shown signs of distress. It has been two weeks now since application, hoping for sedge to die. New plants are showing up and I have another pack to mix and apply if needed. My lawn service has treated the yard areas and sedge has been knocked back and not showing any new sprouts. They won't do landscaped areas but told me that your product is what they use on lawns. Fingers crossed and will let you know my results.
