    Q
    Is this safe for pigs?
    A
You could potentially use Sevin Lawn Insecticide Granules where you have companion pigs. The animals should be out of the treatment area until the granules have been watered in and the area is dry. If you have livestock for sale, then you should not apply this product in those areas.

    Q
If I apply the granules, water and then it rains for days will the granules still be effective?
If the ground never dries because of rain, will it be safe for my senior dogs to return to the yard?
    A

Sevin Insecticide Granules need to be watered in immediately after application to activate the granules. While it might be ok for rain a few days later, to get the most effectiveness we would recommend applying right before it rains.  Pets should be kept out of treated areas after watering in until dry.

    Q
Can Sevin Lawn Insecticide Granules be used to kill cicadas before or while they are coming out of the ground?
    A

Sevin Insecticide Granules is not specifically labeled to control cicadas, it may kill those that contact a treated area but would be very limited results.

There are not any products specifically labeled for them as they do not live long enough to be considered an economic pest. The females cause more damage than the males but the adults only emerge to mate and die. The next generation hatches 6-10 weeks after death. The females lay their eggs under bark. Larger trees can survive the some damage. They don't survive long enough for the products to be effective.
