    How long after applying Sevin Insecticide Granules can I apply weed and feed?
    A
    As long as any watering schedule for the weed and feed does not interfere with any watering restrictions on the Sevin granules, then there is not a wait time after applying the insecticide.

    Can you apply seven and a lawn fertilize like Scott's ? If so what goes down 1st & how long for 2nd can go do
    A

    Yes, you can apply Sevin Lawn Insecticide Granules along with a lawn fertilizer, as long as the watering-in rates for each are the same.  As long as you apply each product separately (apply one and then the other - do not mix them together in your spreader), the order does not matter.

    If apply granules for insects evening before will the morning dew be enough to get chemical in ground?
    A

    You will need to actually do a light watering with a sprinkler system or hose to water the Sevin Insecticide Granules in and activate them to release the chemical and start working. A morning dew will not be enough to activate the granules.

    Once the granules are spread and watered in, how long before i see any results?
    A
    The quickness to see results from the product will be entirely dependent on the insect you are primarily going after and how large the population that is currently on your property is. It could be a matter of days or a matter of weeks before full control of the pests around the home is acheived.

    How long does it take for the grubs under the soil to die after an application of granules?
    A
    The time it takes for a grub or any other insect to die after coming into contact with or ingesting the product will be entirely dependent on how healthy the pest is, how mature it is in its life cycle (the more mature the harder to kill) and how much time it spends on the surface thats been treated.

    Which Sevin product would be the most effective for fleas in my dog pen,sevin dust or granules
    My dogs pen is overran by flea. Ive triwd a few differant things but no luck. I went to buy sevin dust and seen the granules. Which product (sevin dust or sevin lawn granules ) would be more effective?
    A
    We normally would steer away from Sevin unless there is a veggie garden in the area. 

    All animals need to be out of the area while you are doing the application and they can safely return after the treated area has dried. When spraying outdoors the area you are treating should be dry at the time of the application and for 24 hours after the application. After 24 hours the products will be rain safe. Conquer and Archer IGR can be applied. On upholstered furniture you could use a product that is labeled for this type of application such as Ultracide. Most infestations require a second treatment and severe infestation may even require a third treatment. Treatments should be applied at two week intervals. Infested areas indoors should be thoroughly vacuumed prior to product applications to help remove as much flea eggs, larvae and debris as possible, and also to help stimulate larvae to change stages and come into contact with the product. You should continue to vacuum at least every other day for the next two weeks. Pets should be treated for fleas as well as the areas they spend a lot of time such as pet bed, kennels, carriers, couches, and moist shady areas where they spend time outside. 

    If you still want to use Sevin we recommend Sevin granules.

    Does it make a difference if you mow first or spread first when using Sevin Insecticide Granules?
    A

    When using Sevin Insecticide Granules you can do either since you will be watering in the product after your application. Some people prefer to mow first so that when the product settles it stay where you put it for the longest time possible.

    When is it OK to let my chickens out to the yard again after Sevin Insecticide?

    Once Sevin Granules have been applied and watered in and the area has dried completely, it is safe for pets and animals to return to the area.

    Is it safe for my goat to be in the yard/eat grass after applying Sevin Insecticide Granules?
    A

    Any animals would need to be kept out of the area while Sevin Insecticide Granules are being applied and watered in, and until everything is completely dry. The residual of the product is completely safe.

    Will Sevin Insecticide Granules applied to the grass kill honey bees?
    A

    The chances are slim, however if the honey bees were to come in contact with the Sevin Insecticide Granules even after they were watered in on the grass it is possible that they could be harmed by the residual of the active ingredient.

    Sevin Insecticide Granules can be used in yards with a well, be sure to keep applications at least 15 feet away.

    Do Sevin Insecticide Granules kill wasps, yellow jackets, hornets?
    They like to come and play in my yard. I'm tired of looking over my shoulder, especially after I have wiped out the nests. They love my yard for some reason and are always around. Will this help? If not what do you suggest in granular form that won't affect my fertilizing? I have bermuda grass

    No, Sevin Insecticide Granules are not labeled for flying insects, such as wasps, yellow jackets and hornets. We would recommend using Deltagard Granules. This is labeled for digger wasps and can be applied directly to the soil. The rate is 1-2 teaspoons on each nest opening. Be sure to apply when the wasps are not active. We generally recommend using a liquid for flying insects. Cyonara 9.7 is a great option that can be used around your yard as well.

    Is Sevin Insecticide Granules good for growing grass?
    We just planted some grass in a spot that was turning brown. We rack up all the old grass and replanted some new grass but now the new grass is turning brown. What should we do?
    A

    Sevin Insecticide Granules will not harm growing grass. There are a number of factors that could cause this discoloration. We recommend to contact your Master Gardner for assistance with possible disease and/or insect identification. There could also be a lack of nutrients.

    When can I reseed my lawn after using Sevin Dust insect granules?
    A

    Since the Sevin Insecticide Granules do not have any herbicidal properties, you could apply grass seed anytime after applying the insecticide granules. We would just recommend that if you are going to aerate or do other soil modification, you probably will want to do that before applying your insecticide or wait until several days after so that you do not disturb the application.

Sevin Lawn Insecticide Granules is labeled to help control Bermudagrass mites, Clover mites and Spider mites at the rate of 2 to 4 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft. For an indoor treatment recommendation, we need to know the identification of the mites you will be treating for.

    This application timing of Sevin Granules will depend on the type of insects you are trying to control and exactly what state you are in. The best source for application timing information is your local cooperative extension office as the master gardener and entomologist on staff are very familiar with the flora and fauna in your region.

    Will Sevin Insecticide Granules kill common house flies?

    Sevin Insecticide Granules will not kill flies or any other flying insect.  For outside fly control we would recommend the Flies Be Gone Fly Trap placed in areas away from those you want to protect to draw the away.
