    Q
Can Sevin SL be used on pineapples for ant control?
I have an ant infestation in my pineapple patch and would like to know if Sevin SL could eliminate this problem. The fruit from my plants are for consumption. If so, what are the application limits and time line?
    A

Sevin SL Carbaryl Insecticide does not list pineapple on the product label as a fruit tree on which it can be applied, so we cannot recommend it for this use.  Azera is a good option instead. Be sure that ripe fruit is picked and not left on the ground to attract these and other insects.
