Apparently our lawn was infested with chinch bugs that's why a half acre of it died. I bought a 2.5 gallon jug of Carbaryl and applied it through a 14-gallon spray tank as directed. It's fall of 2020.
I will inspect the lawn in the spring and see if the stuff actually works, but this is an old school insecticide. I would not doubt that this is nothing more than finally ground calcium carbonate and water which would obviously affect the insects but is not really a chemical treatment. Fine with me if it works. And Bayer is making millions off of this product. Limestone is $14 a ton in my area.
Correct me if I'm wrong, it has no odor and is gritty like ground limestone (calcium carbonate).
Regardless of my observations I hope it works and I could eventually re-seed my lawn in the spring.
