I have a large row of arbor vitae and 3 died last summer due to bagworm infestation. Do I pay a company $240 (dormant oil and 3 follow up treatments) or is it easy enough to do myself. The trees are about 12 feet tall.
You certainly can do your own pest control using professional products. Bagworm treatment on Arborvitae starts with treating in June or shortly after egg hatch. We would recommend the Hi Yield Dormant Oil.
