    Dormant Spray Oil - Gallon

    By Maryjo on 07/02/2014

This is the second time I have ordered this product from DoMyOwnPestControl.com. It is very effective in removing scale from our evergreens, and is much more economical and convenient than hiring it done. It is easy to order online and is mailed out immediately.

    Dormant Spray

    By Kathryn on 03/21/2017

I've used this for the last two years on all my fruit trees and have had a lot of fruit with very few bugs which is really great. I used another brand but had to change because it is not available in my area and will continue to use this brand.

Q
When do I use the Dormant Spray? What month, time and how much for scales on fruit trees?

You say dormant, what is it? When the tree stops having fruit or while the tree has very small oranges? I have scales on the tree now.

A
Dormant seasons are the times of the year when trees are not actively growing. This will vary from region to region and by type of tree. We recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office and ask for information on the type of tree you are treating and the time of year it is dormant (almost all trees are actively growing now in the USA). We can tell you that Bonide All Season Horticultural and Dormant Spray Oil can be used anytime of the year and is labeled for use on orange trees to control scale insects. Be sure to read and follow the Bonide All Season Horticultural and Dormant Spray Oil product label to be sure it fits your needs.

Q
What is the best product for peach leaf curl in Ohio?
A
We carry a couple of products that are labeled for peach curl, Docket DF containing Chlorothalonil and Bonide Copper Liquid Fungicide which contains Copper Octanoate (Copper Soap). We recommend you contact your local cooperative extension office and speak to the master gardener on staff to find out what has worked best for others in your region and also the best time to apply the fungicides.
