Not good for rainy weather
By Jb on 07/08/2010
While I believe the trap could work in theory it is not a good one for a rainy climate. There was a brief rain shower the afternoon I put it outside in the target area. The top of the trap got soggy and collapsed onto the glue part. This effectively ruined the trap. Perhaps if you made it out of a wax cardboard to repel the rain or made 2 different ones. This one for indoor use and a "hardier" one for outdoor use.

Great product!
By Randy on 10/16/2012
Product arrived the day after placing the order! Great service. Very easy to set up! We had a snake in the attic of our home, placed the "Snake Guard" in place the day they arrived and BAM the very next day caught the snake in the trap!! NO MESS, NO FUSS, easy disposal. Great great product and great company to do business with!

It worked the very first night.
By Clell on 09/09/2013
I had been trying to kill a copperhead snake which lived in a hole underneath my tractor shed for over a month. Each time he saw me approaching he would go back down the hole. Well, I ordered one of the Snake Guard Snake Traps and placed it right by the hole. The very next morning I found half of that copperhead hanging out of the box, it had trapped him just like the ad said. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Snake Guard Snake Trap
By L on 09/28/2013
We had a snake in our basement, I bought the trap, and 8 days later I found the snake fighting to get the glue strip off. Might have been better if the glue was directly on the box instead of glue strips, because the snake pulled out of the box with the srtip stuck to it. But it did make the snake easier to catch and get it out of the house. Thank you Snake Guard!

Snake Guard trap
By Ed on 09/29/2010
Received the the snake guard trap in the mail and set it in place. Have a snake somewhere in basement of my rental. Purchased a mouse, put him in a bucket with grass and leaves for a week to get his scent over it, placed it near the snake guard to lure him out. Now it's just a waiting game until that rascle comes out and gets caught. We'll see.

snake guard trap
By Bruce on 10/07/2016
Touted as a humane way to catch a snake, it is anything but. It also caught a couple of mice, but removing them from the trap is brutal. Anything caught will be dismembered in the process of removal. Not even slightly humane

Don't buy this
By Danny on 10/06/2017
This product doesn't catch snakes and when you get it you're Blown Away by how expensive it is for how cheap the materials are it's just a cardboard box with two glue strips in it. It's like some guy came up with a cardboard box design with glue strips and then decided to sell it for a thousand times the cost to make because he's spent too much on his patent.

Snake Guard Snake Trap -
By Julia on 09/16/2016
so far a 0 set it up Sept. 07, 2016 and as of today, Septl 16, 2016 the trap is still empty It was easy to set up and is a catch and release trap - funny to think that I would rub the snake down with vegetable oil if all the glue is gone :) Haven't given up but it is not easy going in my basement and looking around when I realize it is not in the trap!!!!
Expert response:
We apologize you have not received the expected results! In this case the placement and position of the trap are very important since there are no attractants in the trap. Traps need to be placed up again and parallel to vertical surfaces and should be placed near windows, doors or other areas where snakes can enter or exit. Can you tell us where your trap was placed? Have you seen activity after the trap was placed? Please let us know. We look forward to assisting you!

Not worth the money
By Tim on 12/01/2020
Your basically buying a piece of cardboard with two small adhesion strips. For the price I would've expected much larger adhesion strips, but what do you expect when they don't show any detailed pictures of the product. On a positive note it did arrive rather quickly! Look elsewhere

Do not work outdoors
By Kathleen on 04/17/2020
The boxes were placed as instructed but did not hold up to the rain. When they got wet, they collapsed. They are not sturdy enough to hold up to weather. Very disappointing. Previous snake traps lasted throughout the season and into the fall. I could not find that brand any longer. Big disappointment.

Snake Guard Traps
By Ed on 07/24/2010
Found a 34-inch snakeskin inside the house. Took the house apart, could not find the snake. Put 5 of the traps inside the house, 1 on the outside. The outside trap caught a toad. The inside traps remain empty. If there's still a snake (snakes?) in there I don't see 'em.
