    Q
Can I use Surflan XL 2G on decomposed granite pathways?
I'm needing a pre-emergent to put on my DG path. It keeps popping up with weeds. Will this work? Also, what about pets? Do I need to keep them off of the path for a certain amount of time after applying?
    A

Surflan XL 2G would be a good pre-emergent to use in the area you’ve described.  Make sure you water it in very well, as the decomposed granite will be a barrier between the product and the soil.  Also, keep in mind that if there is lots of shifting of the decomposed granite, it will break down the pre-emergent barrier quicker.  People and pets should remain out of the treated areas until the product has dried completely.
