  • Asked by Randy from Dodge Center

    Q
Whats the difference in Surge compared to Vessel
    A
Both products in question are selective post-emergent herbicides, and both contain a similar active ingredient makeup.  Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf makes the claim that it can show visible results within one to two days and weed control within 14 days, instead of 28.  We advise reading over both product labels (Vessel label / Surge label) to determine which product is more suitable for your treatment goals, including tolerance to your specific grass type, listed target weeds and application information.

  • Asked by Mathew from Chinquapin

    Q
What is the rate per gallon of water for treating Doveweed with Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf? It states 0.23 per 5 gallons a acre for spray. Is that 0.23 gallons per 5 gallons of water?
    A

For Doveweed, Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf is applied at 1 to 1.2 fl oz in water volumes of 0.23 to 5 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft. Generally, 1-2 gallons of water is sufficient to treat 1000 sq ft.

Water is only acting as the carrier to evenly distribute the herbicide over the area. The product label is saying that the minimum volume of water you would use is 32 fl oz of water to cover 1000 sq ft but you can use as much as 5 gallons of water if needed.
