    Q
    Flowers, other plants, and foliage
Will Suspend Polyzone harm the foliage and other plants and flowers around my house? As I spray around my windows areas where utilities and things come in, if this gets on the plants or flowers (Cosmos, Moon flowers, Pasque flowers, Hydrangea, etc) will it harm them?
    A
Suspend Polyzone is only labeled to be used around the perimeter of your home depending on the type of pest your are treating for.  If you are looking for something that is specifically labeled to be used on turf, ornamentals, etc., we would recommend using a general insecticide like Bifen IT. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
I'm looking for a perimeter spray that will last 90 days or longer so I only have to apply a perimeter spray once or twice a season.
I'm in Wisconsin. I'm looking for a perimeter spray that will last 90 days or longer so I only have to apply a perimeter spray once or twice a season. Can you give me some options? Thank You. I have Talstar Pro that I bought last year, but I don't think it is long acting.
    A

Suspend Polyzone will last for 90 days outdoors as well as 90 days to indoor cracks and crevices. Please refer to the product label for a complete list of targeted insects. Termidor SC can also be applied up against the structure (1ft up and 1 ft out) for a twice a year barrier up against the foundation. Do not mix the two products together. Termidor SC is NOT labeled for indoor applications or other areas on the exterior of the property.

Can Suspend Polyzone be applied to flowers?
I know Suspend Polyzone can't be applied to vegetables and Herbs, but can it be applied to flowers and other foliage beside bushes and trees? This can also be used in a mist blower correct?
    A

Suspend Polyzone can be applied to flowers, but it would generally be recommended to avoid spraying the blooms directly. You can also spray to ornamental trees and shrubs.  It can be used in a mist blower. Please see the product label for complete application directions.

  • Asked by Norman from Savannah, Ga
    01/23/2016
    Q
How do I apply Suspend Polyzone for carpet beetles?
Will Suspend Polyzone truly get rid of carpet beetles? And which concentration do I need? We had our carpets cleaned and have now found carpet beetles.
    A

Yes Suspend SC, not Suspend Polyzone is labeled for carpet beetle control and it will eliminate carpet beetles that come into contact with treated areas. Suspend Polyzone is primarily meant for outdoor use.  It is very important that the source of the infestation (where the damaging larva is harboring) is discovered and eliminated, not just the visible adult insects you see wandering around. Until you find out what that is and deal with it you will continue to get more of the carpet beetles emerging from hiding. Carpet beetles may be as likely to feed on grain based food materials as they are on animal byproducts. Pet foods stored in forgotten places, baking goods left too long in the cupboard, rodent baits tossed in the attic - all of these are quite susceptible to carpet beetle feeding. Plus, you also have the typical carpet beetle diets of dead insects (wasp nests in the attic, dead insects in window sills), feathers (bird nests, dead birds), hair (dead rodents, wool products, trophy mounts), and other things made from animal byproducts. Once the source of the infestation is removed or cleaned, using Suspend SC will help get rid of the annoying adult beetles. You can spray once a month until all of the beetles are gone.

  • Asked by Erica from Groves, Tx
    04/22/2016
    Q
Could I apply Suspend Polyzone to outdoor and indoor areas for general pest control?
I am looking to do my own pest control. I have no insect problems just normal maintenance needed.
    A

One of our most popular inseticide concentrates (that also lasts the longest) for outdoors and interior cracks and crevices is Suspend Polyzone. It is applied quarterly (both indoors and outdoors) at a max rate of 1.5 fl oz per gallon per 1,000 sq ft of treated area. Please refer to the product label for a full list of targeted pests and areas that can be treated. It holds up well in the elements and on porous surfaces.

    Q
Does the gallon size Suspend Polyzone dispense like the quart size where you squeeze and fill a measured area within the bottle?
    A

The gallon size of Suspend Polyzone is a tip and pour bottle as seen in the picture on the website.  You would tip the bottle over to get the right amount of product into the measuring chamber.

  • Asked by Sara from Apple Valley, Ca

    Q
Will Suspend SC work for general pests indoors and around the outside of my house?
We live in the desert we get a lot of ants ,roaches, black widows and silverfish.
    A

Suspend SC is a great general use insecticide, but because you said you live in the desert we would recommend Suspend PolyZone. Suspend Polyzone features a proprietary polymer layer that protects the active ingredient from weather, irrigation and mechanical abrasion. This controlled release formulation, which resists erosion, ensures your treatment will continue to control targeted pests for up to 90 days outdoors! It can be used indoors and outdoors and will work wonderfully for the pests you are wanting to treat.

  • Asked by Ltd from Metairie, La
    06/10/2017
    Q
Can I use Suspend Polyzone in my flower bed to kill aphids and mealybugs?
If not, is there something you carry that will do this?
    A

Suspend Polyzone is labeled for controlling aphids and other pests on plants and in flower gardens, but it does not specifically list mealybugs on the label so we cannot say for certain it will control them. However the Suspend SC which is just the non-polymer version of Suspend Polyzone does list both aphids, mealybugs and hundreds of other similar pests on the label.

  • Asked by Dale from Washington, Dc
    12/18/2017
    Q
Is Suspend Polyzone effective against Bethylidae?
The label says it's effective against wasps, but there are many types of wasps, and I would like to know if it is effective against these specific wasps.
    A

Yes, you could potentially use Suspend Polyzone as part of treatment for any type of wasp since this is a non-selective insecticide. We have a great Wasp and Hornet Control Kit which includes Cyzmic CS and Wasp-X for direct treating nests outdoors. If you would like to tell us more about where you are treating, then we can make more detailed product recommendations for you.

  • Asked by Raymond from W.va.
    08/03/2018
    Q
Is the Suspend Polyzone the best product for bed bugs?
    A

Suspend Polyzone does treat bed bugs. Now, however, research shows that some strains of bed bugs are resisitant to it. We recommend using Temprid FX, because it will treat pyrethroid resistantbed bugs and using double killing power of two different active ingredients. You may also want to try one of our Bed Bug Kits which have a variety of products which are proven to treat bed bugs effectively.
