  • Asked by Raymond from W.va.
    08/03/2018
    Q
Is the Suspend Polyzone the best product for bed bugs?
    A

Suspend Polyzone does treat bed bugs. Now, however, research shows that some strains of bed bugs are resisitant to it. We recommend using Temprid FX, because it will treat pyrethroid resistantbed bugs and using double killing power of two different active ingredients. You may also want to try one of our Bed Bug Kits which have a variety of products which are proven to treat bed bugs effectively.

  • Asked by Jason from Texas
    08/15/2018
    Q
What is the heat tolerance for Suspend Polyzone?
Here in Texas it can get hot and breaks down quicker.
    A

Suspend Polyzone is formulated to last longer than other pesticides in heat, sunlight, and other extreme weather. There is not a specific temperature requirement or limit for applying it outdoors, as long as temperatures are over freezing. We recommend spraying in the morning or evening when temperatures are cooler for your own comfort and since pollinators are less active during those times. You can retreat at 30, 60, or 90 days intervals depending on pest pressure and rainfall.

    Q
What product(s) do you recommend for insect control in Florida?
I just moved to Bradenton FL. I signed a 1 yr contract for pest control but I think that I can do this myself. I am near water. We have black widow spiders in the garage, fire ants and no see-ums in the St Augustine grass and innumerable other insect pests. What product(s) do you recommend? I;'m interested in commercial/professional type products
    A

Suspend Polyzone  is a great professional-grade pesticide that will treat all of the pests you mentioned (as well as many others) and will hold up well in your Florida weather conditions.Suspend Polyzone features a proprietary polymer layer that protects the active ingredient from weather, irrigation and mechanical abrasion. It can last up to 90 days outdoors. This product can also be used indoors as well around the baseboards and cracks and crevices.

    Q
Which is better, Temprid FX or Suspend Polyzone?
I like the longer residual time for a general insecticide. Is this an immediate knockdown?
    A

Both are great products, but Suspend Polyzone will give you a longer lasting residual than Temprid FX. The molecular design of the capsule that protects the active ingredient last longer and stays on top of the surface better with Suspend Polyzone.  Neither product will kill on contact.

  • Asked by Roy from San Tan Valley, Az
    09/11/2018
    Q
Can I mix Bifen IT and Suspend Polyzone to spray?
    A

Suspend Polyzone and Bifen IT should not be mixed together.  Mixing insecticides together doesn’t create a more powerful product, and it can cause repellency issues causing the insects to avoid the sprayed areas all together.

  • Asked by Dinnov
    02/12/2019
    Q
If Suspend Polyzone freezes in the bottle?
Will Suspend be less effective or not at all effective if it freezes before you apply it?
    A

Suspend Polyzone can be less effective if it freezes then thaws, then freezes and thaws again and again.  It should be stored in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures (below freezing and above 90) to prevent any issues.  If the product has been frozen only once and does not appear to be separating it should be fine.

  • Asked by Fran from Pittsburgh, Pa
    04/04/2019
    Q
Is Suspend Polyzone effective for treating for clothes moths?
We have clothes moths now in several rooms in our home. We are in the process of emptying all of our closets of all clothes, inspecting them (found almost no damage from them), etc., and then sealing them in airtight containers. We then want to treat along all walls and corners in both carpeted and bare wood floors. We can't tell if they are in the carpets or not, so want to treat them around edges.
    A

Suspend Polyzone  can help control clothing moths if it is sprayed on infested areas which is cracks and crevices around rooms, under rugs etc. The most important part of clothes moth control is finding the source and thoroughly cleaning the item(s) or disposing of the item(s) all together. Failure to do so will lead to poor results. Clothes moth eggs generally hatch out within 10 days during warmer temperatures and two weeks or longer during colder temperatures. Spraying a second time will help kill the adults but unless the larva are targeted you may continue to need additional treatments. Please take a moment to read our article How to Get Rid of Clothes Moths to learn more about this pest.
