You can treat those areas with a residual insecticide like Bifen XTS. This product works great for wasps and you would need to treat them again about every 21 days to keep control of the wasps. It is also labeled for flying insects and you can spray those areas but will also need to treat any dense bushy areas in your property to keep the flying insects under control. It can not be applied to edibles so avoid those if you have any. If you need to treat any nest you can use Wasp Freeze Aerosol or Delta dust. You need to be very careful and use protective equipment if possible to avoid getting stung. It is best to treat it early in the morning or late in the evening. Please take a moment to read over our Wasp guides.

Suspend SC is applied to interior cracks and crevices quarterly as directed where the floor meets the wall to painted/varnished baseboards. Avoid overspray to surfaces that can be damaged by water alone. You can apply to listed areas and entry points on the structure (full list of areas/surfaces on the product label) where the listed pests will travel ie around windows, doors, siding, soffits, eaves, turf, etc. Prior to application, please find the product label here for full mixing and application instructions.
Per the product label for Suspend SC when treating fire ant mounds: Apply a mound drench. Dilute 1.5 oz per one gallon of water. Gentrly sprinkle 1-2 gallons of diluted insecticide over the surface of each mound and surrounding area to a 2 foot diameter. For best results apply in cool weather 65 to 80 degrees or in early morning or late evening hours. Treat new mounds as they appear.
You don’t want to mix 2 residual insecticides together like the Suspend SC and Tempo SC Ultra. You can alternate but you would not mix them together.

To treat Cicada Killers, you can discourage the wasps from nesting in your yard by cutting your grass on the highest setting and by adding a thick layer of mulch to flower beds during the Cicada Killer Wasp season. These wasps do not like over-saturated lawns either, so over-watering during their season will help prevent them. Unfortunately, there is no foolproof way to prevent cicada killer wasps. For current infestations, you would need to use Delta dust in each individual burrow. Using a residual like Suspend SC will also kill them when they come in contact with the treated areas.
Suspend SC Insecticide is mixed at 7.5 - 45.4 ml per 5 liters of water.
The label for Suspend SC Insecticide states it can be used on walls but is not intended to be broadcasted. It is best to test a small area first to ensure it does not damage the paint.
There is no benefit to mixing Suspend SC Insecticide insecticide with Bifenthrin because both products contain synthetic pyrethroids. In fact, mixing insecticides can make treated areas repellent to insects, which can make the treatment less effective
