Talstar P (Talstar One) can be used for everything except grubs if you have those and not sod webworms. For grubs you would need a product like Merit in granule or liquid form. For mosquitoes the key is applying Talstar to the underside of leaves of trees and bushes. For fleas and ticks as well as mosquitoes you can also add an insect growth regulator like Nyguard IGR.
Since aquatic life such as reptiles can be sensitive to insecticides, we do not recommend applying Talstar in any rooms while these animals are present, or in their habitats. It should be fine to use Talstar in other rooms where these animals are not kept.
According the University of Florida Extension, the active ingredient in Talstar (Bifenthrin) can be used on coconut trees as long as they are non fruit bearing. Please refer to Table 7 for a list of approved insecticdes in the State of Florida. You may also reach out to the Local Cooperative Extension office to speak with them directly on application recommendations.
Talstar P (Talstar One) would be a great choice for applications on boxwoods. Talstar granules can be applied in the lawn and watered in for 2-4 months of coverage. Please provide the targeted pest for additional information.

Talstar P cannot be used in any type of fogger. It must be applied with either a hand-pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or mist blower.
Talstar P is labeled for use in a wide array of areas including the lawn, bushes, trees, and shrubs if the pests you are treating for are congregating in those areas. You can refer to the product label for mix rates and target areas for the specific pest you are having trouble with. Keep in mind, you cannot use this on edibles like a vegetable garden or fruit trees or close to lakes/ponds.
Talstar P will last up to 30 days outside. You do want to apply about 24 hours before you are expecting any rain. After that point, rain will not affect it.
Talstar P (Talstar One) is not labeled nor safe to be used on anything edible.
Talstar P (Talstar One) cannot be applied to edible vegetation. Malathion would be a better option.
Yes, that will be fine. Everyone will need to be out of the area while Talstar is being applied, but it will be safe for them to return as soon as everything is dry (usually 1-2 hours).
You can mix Talstar P with an herbicide as long as there are no restrictions on the label for the other product that you are using. We recommend performing a small jar test for compatibility any time you are using two new products together for the first time. Be mindful that you are only applying your herbicide in the correct areas.
Talstar P is known for being super gentle on plants and when it and Nyguard IGR are used as directed should not harm plants. Avoid spraying during the heat of the day to prevent burn.
Either Cyper WSP or Talstar P would work for your needs. Both are labeled for roaches and spiders, both can be used indoors and outdoors and both are safe for pets and children when used as directed. They are both great general insecticides, just different in their formulation. If you are treating indoors, Talstar P may have a slight advantage in that it will dry clear, whereas the Cyper WSP may leave a white residue behind on some surfaces.
Talstar P (Talstar One) is mixed at 1 oz per gallon per 1,000 sq ft. You will need approx. 44 fl oz to cover an acre (43,560 sq ft). It will offer a 90 day interior residual and 30 day exterior residual.
Talstar P (Talstar One) is NOT labeled to kill horse flies or for use in pastures containing grazing animals and is NOT labeled for use on horses. We do offer Permethrin SFR 36.8% and it is labeled for use on livestock such as horses and cattle as well as other animals. We have listed the specifications for horses below but you can find more information on the product label.
For use on Horses to control: Horn flies, face flies, stable flies, house flies, horse flies, black flies, eye gnats, mange mites, scabies mites, ticks, lice and fleas: Use ¼ fl. oz. to 1 pt. water, 0.6257% AI. Low pressure spray. Application: 1-2 fl. oz. spray per animal. Spot treat back, face, legs tail and ears.
Talstar P (Talstar One) can be dispersed in a hose end applicator, hand pump or backpack sprayer for gnats/midges in the lawn. It is also great for treating spiders, centipedes, fire ants and many other insects. We recommend applying 1 oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft as a broadcast and the same rate per mound for drenching for fire ants. NyGuard IGR can be added to the Talstar P and water mix for impeding the reproductive cycle for listed pests. How to Get Rid of Gnats/Midges
Most insecticides and herbicides are able to be tank mixed together, just make sure you follow each product label instructions for "tank mixing" instructions.
Talstar P is able to be tank mixed according the label but since we do not carry T-Zone Weed Killer, we cannot confirm the tank mix compatability.
Talstar P (Talstar One) can be applied once monthly to the exterior of the structure and on foliage for mosquio control. If you treat the areas that the mosquitoes harbor, you will have great success. They do not have to be present for eradication. Talstar P will midges and mosquitos that contact a treated surface long enough to receive a lethal dose. It will dry clear and will not harm pait or surfaces when used as directed on the product label.
